Coca Cola is a multinational company that is renowned internationally. It is the
leading company in the non-alcoholic beverage industry and has been in existence since 127
years. It was established in 1888 by Dr. Pemberton.
The mission of the company is “to refresh the world in mind, body, and spirit, to
inspire moments of optimism and happiness through our brands and actions and to create
value and make a difference”.
The vision statement is to inspire the people by providing work in a great place. The
culture of Coke suggests that they employee people from all ethnicities, the core value of the
company is to strive towards perfection and the strategy that the company uses is inspiring
people through their advertisement (Svendsen). Thus, the mission of the company is in line
with all of these.
Nike
The company was established in the year 1964 by Bill Bowerman as Blue Ribbon
Sports, and was renamed as Nike Inc. in the year 1978 and went public in 1980.
The mission of the company is “Bringing inspiration and innovation to every athlete
in the world”.
The main value that the company has is innovation and the vision of Nike is to have a
sustainable innovation for the athletes. Nike describes athletes as anybody who has a body.
The culture of the company revolves around innovation, creativity; and the strategies that the
company uses is to have innovative products that are also sustainable (Caetano). The mission
statement resonates with vision, values, culture and strategy.

Apple was founded in the year 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronal Wayne
and they wanted to sell the computers that were user friendly and affordable by all.
The mission of Apple is “to bring the best user experience to customers through its

The vision Apple is to make the best products that is possible in making. The value is
to have inclusion of environment and supplier responsibility and privacy. The culture of the
company is to have a creative and innovative product development that suits to the needs of
the people (Roblek and Meško). The strategy that Apple has is to provide the best service to the
consumers. The mission resonates with the vision, culture and strategy, yet it does not with
the value.
