Dear Sir/Madam,
In part one, I have organized my response using three aspects which are; Perusing
MIT Executive MBA (responding to why I am pursuing the MIT Executive MBA now ),
Influence( response to what has influenced my decision) and Contribution( response to what
I will contribute to MIT community and classmates)
In part two, I have organized my response using three aspects which are; change
(response to when I introduced an idea and that brought changes), barriers (response to
barriers faced) and consideration (factors considered).
Perusing MIT Executive MBA
The choice is triggered by an urge in erecting businesses that will foster values both
globally and socially, which will be actualized through serving as a Senior Executive leader.
It is also my desire to fill my current state and future desired goals, which are in line with
creating excellent leadership skills in organizations. To achieve this, I need to acquire the
necessary skills that will instill my passion with appropriate experience in both practical and
theoretical education from NBA

Influence
I have interacted with NBA alumni and also heard on how they handle business issues
professionally even when the underlying problem is harsh. My passion for influencing better
values in organizations and socially will be realized through exposure to a particular
education system, and I have high hopes in the NBA system (Bellini, Maga, & Rizzo, 2016)
. I have a desire in changing the narrative in my organization, which should be
gradual but with immediate effect through achieving an MBA. Management of a large and
robust organization requires special skills concerning innovations, utilization of resources,
and motivation of employee calls for an objective mindset.
To achieve these desires and outcomes, I need skills through learning and getting
knowledge on multi-disciplinary methodologies from my classmates, faculty, and personal
experiences (which include internalization of handling situations). MIT eMBA performs
exemplarily in offering pronounced courses, and I have solid trust in achieving my future
indispensable goals and also provide a strong alumni bond with the best who will provide the
necessary support and also offer services in molding others as an Ex-student. I undertook an
online course offered by MIT, and the classes were exemplarily organized through
impressive class-content and an remarkable teaching style (Rai, Singh, & Rai, 2018). I want to
create a revolution in the society as a leader through sharing what I learn.

Contribution
During my work experience, I came across the innovation of new digital product
where I played a vital role in product development. I shared an idea about the digitization of
product in a different version, and upon implementation, the result was increased revenue
through winning prospective customers. I want to expand my knowledge and skills and apply
them at the current workplace, by taking classes like “New Product Innovation” and”
Business Essentials” courses offered at MIT.
I have gained technical expertise, knowledge, and leadership in different industries
which have facilitated a strong desire to share my professional, personal experiences,
innovative ideas and the details of my journey with classmates which is a positive side and
also my failures as the negative phase. I see an exciting and bright future waiting for me out
there, and I am ready to find it which will be enhanced through training at NBA (Goldblatt,
2016). I will put my best foot forward and expend my best effort in pursuit of that future.

Please tell us about a time when you introduced an idea that changed the way in which
your organization approached a business challenge or opportunity. Comment on the
factors considered, and the barriers or obstacles faced.
Change
Exposure; to social challenges, professional field and personal life have lead me in
landing in people’s needs and witnessing poor processes in solving everyday problems which

in one instance or the other fostered my effort to offer a helping hand. One of these cases was
advocating on innovation of digital product known as ADAPI, which is a new B2B process
enabling ordering credit/debit cards for customers. This was a transformation from the
traditional business model that was time-consuming and complex.
Difficulties lead to many human errors, and thus, some resources were channeled at
correcting them where two members of the team were tasked with solving them.
Barriers
Creating the new product was not easy and involved many things like creating
numerous records and hosting environments. The servers involved and depended on were
hosted by other departments in the organization and Lack of this facilities lead to a slow flow
in the innovation by following complex bureaucracy which in the long run demotivated
human resource.
Before convincing the authorizes tasked with this responsibility (facilitation of
credit/debit cards) I had to conduct many meeting with the executives in different
departments to explain the underlying issues with the current business model and how it is
difficult for clients, and thus different clients keep making the same errors

To win the approval of my invasion, I explained the cost leadership strategy to
decrease the operating expenses, increase the revenue and requirement for the up-skilling of
current employees for new technology but the sense took a long period before approval.
Considerations
To convince them, I explained the advantages of a new business model, how it would
work, and the benefits of it to the clients, employees, and the business. During this entire
discussion, I considered factors which can help the individuals without any violation to the
standards of the company, federal government, and PCI (Payment Card industry) like
customer Security, integrity, simplicity, reliability, and the performance of the system.
After approval, the digital product was born and launched under my supervision
despite many challenges. The innovation brought forth awards of recognition, and I was
offered a chance to become a member of the company’s ‘innovation Studio,’ which was a
milestone in my career.
In addition to the award and securing a space in Innovation committee, I experienced
the importance of intense negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills, which are vital in
making objectives a success. I chose MIT because it is driven by a mission to develop

principled and innovative leaders, which is in line with my goals. I am eager to learn more
leadership styles and utilize them in my practical life.
