AI Summary
This research paper, submitted by a student, investigates the development of effective metrics for quantifying user experience satisfaction in mobile applications. The core focus is on the Goal-Question-Metric (GQM) model and its application in creating usability metrics to enhance mobile app ease of use and gauge customer satisfaction. The paper highlights various usability metrics, including effectiveness, temporal efficiency, and learnability, which are used with the SUMI (Software Usability Measurement Inventory) software. The research employs both qualitative methods, such as journal article reviews to showcase the GQM model, and quantitative methods, involving a survey of 35 participants to determine customer satisfaction levels. The research outlines a five-week schedule for completing the research paper and contributes to understanding user experience in mobile app design and evaluation. This work is available on Desklib, a platform offering AI-based study tools for students.

1) What metrics is developed for the quantification of user experience satisfaction of mobile
applications?
Abstract
The paper mainly reflects on the development of proper metrics for the effective quantification of user
experience satisfaction of mobile app. The main focus of the entire paper is on the GQM model that is
mainly used for the development of usability metric which further assists in improving ease of use of
mobile app and helps in determining whether the customers are satisfied or not with the experience of
using the app. It is found that there are a number of usability metrics-based criteria including
effectiveness, temporal efficiency, helpless, control as well as learnability which helps in measuring the
satisfaction of the customers with the help of a software that is known as SUMI (Software Usability
Measurement Inventory). In addition to this, it is identified that both qualitative as well as quantitative

research methods are used. With the help of qualitative model, a number of journal articles are
reviewed that further helps in showcasing the GQM model and how usability metric is helpful in
determining the user experience satisfaction. On the other hand, quantitative research is mainly utilized
and as per which a survey is conducted with the sample size of 35 for determining the percentage of
satisfied customers with the use of the mobile app. Moreover, the contribution of the research is also
reflected in the paper. A schedule timeframe is created according to which 5 weeks of time will be
mainly required in order to create the research paper successfully.
