Project Title
The project title can be defined as “Providing project management related information
through information technology”.
Background of the project
The context of this case project is based on helping various project by providing
project management related information through information technology field [6]. Based on
this context, here the case study depicts that SIGMA is a consulting business company who
involves to help various projects by providing project management related information as
well as tools. The company shares their information through their official website or intranet
site where existing expertise help to the projects for solving them by providing lots of project
management related information [1]. The main purpose of this consulting company is to grow
up the business strategy as well as increase the profitability by cooperating with clients. But
for happening this increment of business, the CEO of this company has decided to implement
such tools on their intranet site by which the clients can be able to access the information [2].
This strategy helps to decrease the internal cost of the organization and also increase the
profitability for the organization.
Goals of the project
The establishment of the project goal within the project management is to clarify the
quantity of the desired outcome from the execution of the project. In that case, the employees
of the organization were liable for achieving the desired outcome of the project. Here, as per
the case study, SIGMA which is mentioned as a consulting business company provides the
project management related information to diverse categorised projects for satisfying the
clients [8]. Within the operational activities, this organization has a particular intranet site

Scope of the project
Though the organization is based on the consulting business, therefore they always
want to provide the proper information to the clients by intranet site or official website.
Generally, the organization utilizes their official website for conducting their marketing
issues [7]. On the other hand, the intranet site is used for the information regarding the human
resources which depicts that the internal experts have given their efforts in order to solve the
complexity of diverse projects. Moreover, this firm also utilizes the enterprise based project
management system for tracking all of the projects by focusing the project goal as well as
scope or time or cost etc. And now, the CEO of this company has decided to implement such
tools on their intranet site by which the clients can be able to access the information. All of
these operations make complexity within the organization which may reflect on the
organizational strategy.
The scope of the project is to develop the software tool which requires to integrate
with the intranet site for making easy access for the clients. The development of the software
tool and also integration with the intranet site should be within the time frame and also within
the assigned cost [3]. Moreover, there needs to develop some security practices within the
intranet site so that any outside person are not able to enter into the site.

For conducting this project, the following stakeholders’ efforts are needed. The
stakeholders are such as:
CEO of company – CEO of the company is considered as the head of the company. The
decision of all of sectors are taken by CEO. He gives proper instruction to the project
manager for accomplishing the projects. Here, as per the case study, the same task is done by
CEO of this company about the implementation of tool of intranet site.
Project manager – The project manager or project supervisor is accountable to lead the
project of software implementation of the intranet site under his supervision.
Software developer – The software developer is accountable for developing the software tool
for the intranet site for accessing the information by the customers easily.
Code programmer – To develop the software tool, it requires to execute the programming
code and for that the code programmer gives the effort for running the programming code.
Security analyst – Within the intranet site, it requires to develop the security practices for
security purpose and in that case, the security analyst helps to provide his effort for
implementing the security practices.
Risk analyst – The risk analyst are liable for analysing the risks during executing of the
software tool.
Tester – The tester can test the overall process of the software during the running time.
Senior experts – The senior experts can handle the clients of the organization by solving
various project complexity [4]. To overcome the complexity, they provide the appropriate
information related to project management.
