NETWORKING 2
Introduction
5G is a networking technology that is capable to provide a larger data rate to the
consumers and addressed the limitations of 4G networks. In which the consumers can
perform data communication in an effective way and reduce the complexity of the
communication networks. It is examined that 5G networks are able to improve the
performance of the communication channels and help for exchanging data over a long
distance (Chin, Fan, & Haines, 2014). The significance of this paper is to evaluate and
analyze the concept behind 5G wireless networks and compare two journal articles based
on 5G technology. There are following two articles will be evaluated in this research:
Article 1: emerging technologies and research challenges for 5g wireless networks
Article 2: Next Generation 5G Wireless Networks: A Comprehensive Survey
Introduction to the articles
Article 1
The name of this paper is EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND RESEARCH
CHALLENGES FOR 5G WIRELESS NETWORKS that was provided by Woon and other
researchers in the year 2014 (Chin, Fan, & Haines, 2014). In this paper, the researchers
examined the importance of 5G wireless networks in data communications. The
significance of this article is to identify the key features of 5G technology. The researchers
identified that 5G changed the way of communication and reduced the data
communication-related issues that occur in the 4G networks. The larger data rate is a major
benefit of this technology due to which it may be used for long-distance transmission.
Article 2
The title of the chosen paper is Next Generation 5G Wireless Networks: A
Comprehensive Survey which is reviewed by Mamta and other writers in the year 2016
(Agiwal, Roy, & Saxena, 2016). In this paper, the writers reviewed the impacts of 5G
networks on communication networks and explore their future in the telecommunication.

NETWORKING 3
The researchers defined that 5G is the latest communication generation that has the
potential to enhance the effectiveness of the networking systems and provide reliable
services to the users.
Description of the methodologies
In article 1
It is examined that the researchers used various research methodologies for
completing the paper including research design, data gathering, research philosophy, and
data analysis methodology. A qualitative design is the best technique used in this paper as
it provided theoretical facts related to 5G networks and channels. It is true that using the
inductive approach the researchers were capable of developing reliable research in the
area of 5G wireless networks (Haas, 2018). Therefore, using all these methods the writers
achieved the aims of the investigation.
In Article 2
In this paper, the researchers adopted the inductive approach along with the
interpretivism kind of philosophy. It is observed that using such research techniques the
researchers developed an effective hypothesis and research questions related to the 5G
wireless networks. In order to adopt relevant data, the writers used secondary sources
including journal papers, peer-reviewed articles, online websites and others (Xia, Xu, Wang,
& Xu, 2018). It is argued that by conducting a literature review the writers effectively
collected the relevant information about 5G networks. Moreover, for analyzing data the
researchers used content analysis methodology because of their potential to provide
reliable outcomes and findings in the research.
Comparison of the results
In the first article, the researchers found that 5G is the best communication
technology that reduced the issues and challenges associated with data communications.
Moreover, using 5G networks the consumers can easily exchange data between two or
more devices (Li, Da, & Zhao, 2018). While in the 2nd article the writers found that the

major advantage of 5G technology is that it provides a larger data rate due to which
companies are using 5G communication networks and systems. As compared with the
second article, 1st paper provided depth observation in the relation of 5G wireless
technology and reviewed the advantages and limitations of 5G networks (Agarwal,
Agarwal, Agarwal, & Misra, 2019). In the first article, the researchers identified that in
terms of reliability and flexibility 5G networks are appropriate for the data
communications while the second article shows that security is a major problem associated
with the 5G networks and communication channels.
Advantages and disadvantages of 1st article
It is identified that the researchers provided depth examination about 5G networks
that helped the readers for enhancing their experience. Moreover, there are several other
benefits of this article such as reduced research gaps, identified key points about 5G
networks, critically reviewed the viewpoints of other researchers and many more. There
are two limitations of this paper including a lack of primary data and did not provide facts
about challenges linked with 5G networks (Baratè, Haus, Ludovico, Pagani, & Scarabottolo,
2019).
Advantages and disadvantages of 2nd article
There are various benefits of this article such as provided brief information about
5G technology, evaluated each and every point about 5G, adopted effective research
methods and reduced the gaps that occurred in the previous articles (Dai, Zhang, Bai, Chen,
& Sun, 2018). There are numerous drawbacks of this paper such as did not explore key
features of 5G networks, provided less information about applications and advantages of
5G technology and included theoretical points related to 5G wireless networks.
Suggestions
After reviewing both articles it is recommended that the researchers should provide
reliable and important points about 5G networks and analyze findings of previous articles
effectively. In future research, the 1st article will provide information about security issues

linked with 5G networks and 2nd article will evaluate the importance of 5G networks in
future communication generation.
Conclusion
From this research, it may be concluded that 5G is the effective communication
techniques that will change the way of data transmission in the future and enhance the
effectiveness of the communication systems. This study reviewed two journal articles
based on the 5G networks and identified the research methods used in both articles. It is
determined that the first article provided less information about the advantages of 5G
networks while the 2nd article provided depth observation related to 5G wireless networks.
Therefore, it is recommended that the researchers should involve the viewpoints of
consumers by conducting surveys or observations in future research.
