In this discussion paper, it has been identified that in order to provide the better accessibility
the Australian transport industry has decided to introduce new accessibility service in all the state. It
has been identified that due to increasing number of customers it has become one of the major issues
for the tourism industry to satisfy the customer needs. On the other hand, lack of priority to the
visitors is influencing the economic loss in the tourism industry. In this study, it has been identified
that tourism industry has the higher level of contribution in the GDP of the country (The Queensland
Tourism and Transport Strategy 2015). Therefore the study has highlighted the importance of
customer satisfaction in the case of increasing financial development. In this discussion paper, it has
been identified that the availability of transport facilities will not only influence the customer service
but also it will influence the employment rate in this country.
Analyse discussion paper 2
The discussion paper has been developed for identifying the opportunities for tourism
development in Western Australia (Tourism & Transport Forum, 2007). In this paper, it has
been identified that the dissertation has shed light on protecting the cultural and natural
heritage so that the economic growth can be maintained and nature-based tourism industry
can get developed in an effective manner. In this paper, it has been identified that due to the
global economic growth in Asian countries, the WA tourism industry is getting influenced. In
this paper, the contribution of the tourism industry in the employment rate of the country has
been highlighted. It has been identified in this discussion paper that the due to lower tourism
sustainability the nature-based tourism business is getting hampered. In this case, the paper
has discussed to develop the nature-based tourism in Western Australia in an effective
manner by attracting a large number of visitors. In order to provide the effective service, the
higher quality of service the marketing campaigns related to the nature-based tourism has

been decided to introduce. The state government has also taken the development initiatives so
that the development process can be maintained.

Discussion 1
Issue identification: It has been identified that the major issue is the queens land tourism
industry is not being able to fulfil the needs and demands of the customers. Accessibility is
needed to be improved in this area.
Analyse the issue: It has been identified that in the current scenario, need and demands of
the visitors have changed. Due to the availability of technology and connectivity, it has
become necessary for the tourism industry to provide effective transport facilities to the
visitors. Transport priority related issues have influenced the availability of the visitors. In
order to provide the transport facility with the tourism authority has adopted the long-term
transport service facility. In the current situation, it has become crucial for the Queensland
tourism industry to deliver and develop an effective partnership with the Australian tourism industry
(The Queensland Tourism and Transport Strategy 2015). In this situation, the tourist service
standard is getting hampered.
Possible policy instruments: In order to deal with the competitive situation, QTTS
development plan is required. In this process, the loopholes will be identified. New policies
innovative mechanisms and potential actions are required in order to deal with the situation.
Queensland Drive Tourism Strategy, Queensland Tourism Aviation Blueprint and Regional Planning
are required in this situation. On the other hand, international aircraft movements have increased
room 21190 to 57130, the rooms have increased. On the other hand in the 2020 planning, the
employment rate will be increased near about 2.8%. In order to provide the Ironic experience to the
customers, the integrated transport system will be introduced.

Issue identification: It has been identified that risk management barrier is the major issue in
this paper. Uncertainty and security investment of the return investment has created the
investment-related issues. In the discussion paper, it has been identified that the nature-based
tourism industry is required to be developed in Western Australia for increasing the
availability of customers.
Analyse the issue: In this discussion paper, it has been identified that lack of sustainability
has become one of the major concern for the company. In the current scenario, the popularity
of natural tourism has increased, however, with the changing demands of the customers it has
become tough for the operators to provide effective service. Western Australia is being
considered as one of the popular places all over the world for its natural beauty. The
Australian tourism authority wants to develop the nature-based tourism opportunities so that
the economic opportunities, as well as sustainability, can get improved (Tourism & Transport
Forum, 2007). As the nature-based tourism destinations have increased its popularity among
the global tourists, therefore, if the growth opportunities can be developed it will increase the
economic stability in this area. This will also influence the availability of the global visitors.
Possible policy instruments: In order to deal with the situation, the tourism industry has
decided to introduce the diversified products for the customers. The Western Australia
tourism industry has started adopting effective destination planning for increasing the support
from tourism hubs. Involvement of aboriginal communities in the tourism initiatives can be
encouraged. Tourism Western Australia investigation team will focus on analysing the state taxation
issues for increasing the availability of investors. This will be an effective initiative for increasing its
rate of profitability. A partnership approach between the tourism investors and management team of
protected areas can improve the social returns and financial improvements.

Discussion 1
In this discussion paper, it has been identified that the transport policies or initiatives
which have been taken by the authority will be beneficial in the case of developing effective
satisfying the needs of the tourists. It will increase the accessibility all over the country. In
this case, the local population it will also be beneficial as the transport development planning
will bring a large number of job opportunities. Effective strategies regarding the tourism
planning and involvement of the government and non-governmental organizations will
influence the financial growth which can be reflected through the employment (The
Queensland Tourism and Transport Strategy 2015). Air accessibility can be beneficial in the
case of both the local people and tourists. Availability of services can reduce the cost that can
grab the attention of a large number of visitors.
Discussion 2
In the discussion paper, the importance of nature-based tourism development
initiatives has been highlighted. Through different workshops, the business opportunities of
the local communities will get increased. If the nature-based tourism industry can be
established, it will increase the availability of customers that can influence the financial
growth. With the involvement of government and private operators in the tourism industry,
the rate of job availability will increase. Proper strategic planning will influence in reducing
the investment barriers that will influence economic growth. New products and services will
get increased that influence the availability of the customers (Tourism & Transport Forum,
2007). Training and development process will help the authority to recruit local people in the
development process.

Compare and contrast
The major difference between these two discussion papers is in the first one the
Transport industry is playing the major influential role in the case of tourism development. In
the case of influencing the long-time competitive opportunities for Queensland tourism
industry accessibility issue is needed to get solved. On the other hand, in the second
discussion, the importance of destination management planning and both the government and
private operators' involvement have been discussed. In this case, the nature-based tourism
management plan is suggested to get developed for increasing rate of profitability as well as
popularity. With the effective destination planning the cultural and natural heritage of
Western Australia can be maintained.
It has been identified that both the discussion paper has discussed sustainable
development of the tourism industry. In both, the cases customer satisfaction has been
highlighted as the major concern. Technology and transport both are important for improving
the customer experience. With the appropriate uses of technology, customer relationship
management practices can be improved. In both the papers, the economic growth of tourism
industry and its contribution to the local community have been highlighted.
Reflection
In the first discussion, it has been identified by me that in order to bring the tourism
sustainability effective destination management initiatives are required. Especially in the case
of dealing with the quality-sensitive customers. I believe that by adopting leading-edge beacon
technology app not only the promotional development but also the performance management
practices can get developed. In both the studies the sustainable tourism development has been
highlighted. I believe, in both the cases, the involvement of government and private operators
can be beneficial for increasing the job opportunities. I believe, Visitor Information Centres is
required for both the cases for providing the safety. I believe, if the involvement of local

communities can be increased, I will help to maintain the financial growth in both the
industries.
