Introduction
Learning is highly important in order to grow in future career. Here, learning
make a person enable to learn new concepts with an aim to gain success in life.
In addition to this, a person can easily set a unique identity by learning new
theories and concept each and every day. It is stated that learning is also
important to ensure personal as well as professional development in significant
manner. While studying in the classroom, an individual gets to learn various
concepts that further contributes in their personal as well as professional growth
(Nisbet and Shucksmith, 2017). In present context, I attend academic sessions
where I learned several concepts that will allow me to grow in future career. The
report will cover how learning of this module helped me in professional and
personal development. It will include different skills which I learned throughout
the module such as communication, CV writing, Interview skills and more.
Further, academic growth during the module will also cover in the respective
report.
Reflection on Professional Development
Professional development is important to develop necessary skill set
with an aim to ensure growth in future career. This development is useful in
order to gain success in career in an efficient manner (Cohen, 2021). In other
words, professional development refers to identify the goals and learning new
skills to succeed at work. With this, a person can easily maintain a unique
identity at workplace. This also helps in sustaining within the job for longer
run. Now, professional development has become a crucial part for the growth
of company. For this purpose, companies are also likely to organize
professional career development programs. These types of programs are helpful
in upgrading a person in order to ensure significant contribution in success of
business entity. Additionally, professional development refers to maintain
continuation in education and career training after entering into corporate jobs
(Howard and Eddy‐Imishue, 2020). This helps in developing new skills,

capabilities in order to advance the career in significant manner.
Learning of professional development module can be used to grow in
career. During week 1, there was focus on assessment of skills. Here, I used to
focus on assessing my skills and capabilities so that I can structure suitable
plans to grow in future. Additionally, this module made me enable to identify
the weak areas so that I can make necessary improvements to grow in the future
period of time. By assessing the skills, I can easily take suitable corrective
actions to make a bright future efficiently. While studying in the module, in
week 2 I learned regarding the significance of making appropriate occupational
choice. There are several occupations such as banking, marketing, finance and
more. It is important to make appropriate occupational choice to utilize skills
and capabilities appropriately. Apart from the skills, one also needs to consider
the inclination while choosing a suitable occupation. By making an appropriate
occupational choice, it is possible to grow in the career in future period of time.
Additionally, it also allows to utilize the available skill in an efficient manner.
The week 5 & 6 was related to CV writing and interview skills. CV
reflects the academic and professional growth of a person. During the module, I
learned how to write an appropriate CV. This will help me in preparing such a
CV that will reflect my profile in an appropriate way. Further, it will also help
me in getting a good job in future period of time. Additionally, I also got
interview skills during the week which will help in cracking job interviews
successfully. During week 10, I got coaching skills. Here, I learned how to
provide mentorship to subordinates. The learning will make me enable to lead
the team member effectively so that they can contribute towards attainment of
pre-defined goals. Week 11 was about negotiation skills. During the respective
week, I learned how to negotiate with different parties. This skill will help me
in negotiating with individuals effectively so that I can generate profits for the
company. By this way, learnings of different weeks will allow me to grow
professionally. With this, I can make a bright and enriching professional career
for further betterment.

Reflection on Personal Development
Personal development is a term that is designed to improve the overall talent,
potential, capabilities of individuals so that they can attain tremendous amount of
success in the future period of time. In addition, personal development is related
with continuous efforts to improve one-self. This not only help in development of
an individual but also useful in terms of development of various skills &
capabilities for future growth. If one is putting constant efforts to improve self,
this will help in own personal development. Anytime a person can get involved in
the activities of personal development to improve self (Allen and et. al., 2019). It
is analyzed that personal development is highly important in current time as it
makes a person enable to become the best version of self. Personal development is
not merely related with developing a particular skill rather it is helpful in the
overall development of a person. Additionally, personal development is a crucial
part of growth as well as progression of individuals. It allows a person to explore
in different areas of self-improvement & enhancement. By this way, individuals
are likely to get the feeling of fulfillment in personal life. During the module, I
gained significant insights related to personal development. In week 1, there was
focus on assessment skills. I used to pay attention on assessing my own skills with
an aim to take necessary corrective actions in future period of time. Through this,
I am able to assess my weak areas in order to take suitable corrective steps in
significant manner (Rowe, 2017). Additionally, I used to focus on assessing my
skills and capabilities so that I can structure suitable plans to grow in future.
Additionally, this module made me enable to identify the weak areas so that I can
make necessary improvements to grow in the future period of time.
During week 3, self-leadership was covered. It is an important concept that
is useful in developing leadership qualities so that one can easily lead and guide
the team members efficiently. Here, self-leadership is related with analyzing,
exercising and improving own leadership abilities. Basically, it is related with
having a sense who are you, what you can do and more. While studying in the
module, I learned the concept of self-leadership. It will develop discipline in me
so that I can perform assigned duties in an efficient manner. With this, I will able
to provide guidance and mentorship to the team members so that they can

contribute towards the attainment of pre-defined goals. In week 4, I learned
regarding the emotional intelligence. Here, emotional intelligence is highly
important to stay emotionally strong in order to take effective decisions
effectively. By staying emotionally strong, I can easily take effective decisions.
Emotional intelligence is the ability to control on emotions in positive way.
Learning during the respective week will allow me to take strong decision in
significant manner. With this, I can easily communicate others, empathize them
and overcome from various challenges effectively.
Reflection on Academic Development
Academic development offers students goals and skills so that they can
attain success in personal & professional life. Basically academic growth is the
measure of progress of students between two points of time. This makes students
a better individual so that they can attain growth in personal as well as
professional career (Salter and Rhodes, 2018). During academic development, a
person learns ample of skills, capabilities to ensure success in future career. In
order to ensure academic development, it is required to understand the areas
where one is lacking. Further, there is requirement to assess the available
resources so that suitable strategies can be made. For academic development, it is
important to understand the need to future growth so that appropriate plans can be
structure accordingly. To ensure academic growth, there is requirement to attend
the classroom of professor and take their help. Here, professor can help students in
academic growth by resolving their doubts in timely manner. In current context,
the entire module was full of various insights to ensure academic development of
students in future period of time (Roxå and Mårtensson, 2017). Here, I learned
ample of concepts that will make me enable to attain growth in upcoming future.
During the module, I learned various skills such as assessment, communication
skills, negotiation skills and more. The week 1 was about assessment skills which
makes a person enable to assess own capabilities to take suitable actions in the
future period of time. By assessing own skill, it is possible to structure suitable
strategies to ensure future betterment.
WEEK 2 was related to occupational choice that will help me in making
suitable choice regarding the occupation in an efficient manner. By having

knowledge regarding different occupation, I can easily make a suitable choice.
Additionally, I learned regarding the significance of making appropriate
occupational choice. There are several occupations such as banking, marketing,
finance and more. It is important to make appropriate occupational choice to
utilize skills and capabilities appropriately. By making an appropriate
occupational choice, it is possible to grow in the career in future period of time.
WEEK 3 was related to self-leadership. This will help me in making a strong
personality so that I can provide effective leadership to the fellows. Through this,
I can perform the academic roles & responsibilities significantly. In WEEK 4, I
learned the importance of emotional intelligence so that I can take strong
decisions in the future period of time. Through this, I will be able to perform
academic duties significantly. By staying emotionally strong, I can easily take part
in different academic activities that will help me in my academic development &
growth. During week 5, I got to know how to write an appropriate CV so that I
can write an appropriate CV. Further, I also developed interview skills which will
allow me to perform better during the interview. Apart from these learnings, I also
learned how to write reflection. Now, I am familiar how to write reflection by
analyzing own skills and capabilities. This will make me enable to improve my
future performance in significant manner. Further, I also got to know the method
of referencing in order to make the information authentic.
Conclusion
With the above-information, it is analyzed that learning make a person
enable to learn new concepts with an aim to gain success in life. In addition to
this, a person can easily set a unique identity by learning new theories and concept
each and every day. It is stated that learning is also important to ensure personal as
well as professional development in significant manner. Further, I got various
skills and capabilities throughout the module. It is analyzed that I got assessing

WEEK 1
The today’s session was full of various insights where I got the opportunity to
learn ample of concepts. Here, I learned the significance of professional development. I
found the activities which were designed in order to develop the skills among students.
Along with all the students, I took part in classroom activities in order to gain insightful
knowledge & capabilities. During this session, I felt excited as I got the opportunity to
enhance my personal as well as professional knowledge in an efficient manner. Throughout
the session, I learned that engaging self in the practices of personal and professional
development is highly important to grow in the career in the future period of time. While
studying in the module, I interacted with my teacher where I came to know the significance
of skill development in personal as well as professional context. Although I am not sure
about my own development and enhancement however, I will prepare a personal
development plan in order to develop various skills. But, there is requirement to take
necessary steps in order to make the respective plan successful. It is analyzed that I might
have learned more if I paid attention during the classroom. Sometimes, I found it difficult
to concentrate on the classroom learning’s. Here, I am looking forward to enhance my
capabilities in order to ensure professional development in the future period of time.
WEEK 2
The week 2 was related to occupational choice, career planning, opportunities and
more. Here, I learned to analyze own performance so that I can develop necessary skills in
order to grow in the future. Additionally, I learned how to prioritize the opportunities
related to development which will help me in attaining the pre-defined goals. Further, I
will learn to structure a career plan so that I can accomplish set objectives in an efficient
manner. The session was review quiz that I liked the most. This quiz will help me in
assessing my own performance so that I can make necessary improvements in future. One
thing, I learned throughout the session is how to assess own performance in effective
manner. This will help me in preparing a suitable PDP plan so that I can make
