Introduction
In a person's life, self reflection plays a very important role as it makes him or her
to think about themselves, meditate on, examine and provide serious thought to the
attitudes, behaviours, motivations, thoughts and desires. While, in career
development, it defines the process of self exploration, knowledge and decision-
making that makes the career. Through self-reflection, a person can think about
themselves that what they want to achieve in their life or in what field that want to
grow their career. In this project, with the use of reflective model, there is an
evaluation about what is achieved in respect of personal development, professional
development and academic development.
Professional Development
Description: I have got the opportunity to learn module and attend all the
workshops of week 1 to 11. In this module, I have learned about several things
which was helpful to develop my career professionally. This module help me to
analyse my skills, in which field I want to grow my career, how I can attend
interview to get the desired jobs, how I make CV impactful. This module also
helped me to improve my negotiation skills through which I can deal with employer
to raise my pay-scale and so on. In other week, I have learned about the how I can
balance my professional and personal life. Moreover, I came to learn how I can
push myself and expand my comfort zone. In business world, it is also vital for me
to improve my problem solving skills so that I can resolve issues raised by my
colleagues.
Feelings: I was excited to attend this module and sessions as I have learned about
so many new things which could help me to grow in certain area. On the other side,
I have also get confused as all the sessions would based on various skills and I did
not able to acknowledge the certain skill in which I would basically to develop or
enhance.
Evaluation: With the help of my tutors and teacher's guidance, I understood that
negotiation skills should be developed by me.
Analysis: With the help of action plan, I could develop my negotiation skills.

Conclusion: From this module, I have gained the knowledge of professionally
skilled person that what skills or knowledge should a person has in order build in
his or her career. Also, this will also help in creating action plan to develop key
areas.
Action Plan: As this module helped me to identify the key areas in which I can
grow and get the desired job, I will also ensure that the teacher's guidance will take
me to the right direction and also help me to make growth plan for the career in
which certain time period will be mentioned.
Personal Development
Description: Week 1, 4 and 10 are the sessions in which I have learned about the
personal development. I have been suggested to attend this modules which could
help me to grow personally which is also important for a person.
Feelings: I believe there are many areas at which I am week and and I could do
better if those areas will be improved and developed. As a person, sometimes I feel
anxiety and nervousness due to the deficiency in many key areas such as poor self-
leadership, emotional intelligence and many other key areas.
Evaluation: This is the stage where I have evaluated that I need to improve self-
leadership skills, together with emotional intelligence which is important for a person
to be strong individually.
Analysis: It has been analysed that self-leadership skills will help me to guide
myself that what should be done or not, it will also improve me to do my task on time
and in an efficient way. Emotional intelligence will help me to not get emotional on
certain things and to get the work done productively.
Conclusion: This is concluded that all of the key areas such as emotional
intelligence and self-leadership are important for an individual's life. It is found that
the person should develop himself or herself in a personal and professional way.
Action Plan: I will identify the sources through which I can grow in those areas as
well as track these skills so that it would be attained in certain time-frame.

Description: In order to develop and improve academic skills, I have gained the
opportunity to attend the sessions Week 1, 3 and 6. In each week, I have learned

individual person as it helps in developing several professional, personal and
academic skills. Attending such module helps in knowing what skills are required to
develop and enhance. It is important for the person to develop action plan to fill the
gaps between skills and knowledge.
