PM Leadership
For managing the project no proper unethical way, the project management Team should have good
leadership skills in them. It is not so that if a person is linked to a company and is working for a long time
then he or she will have good leadership characteristics [1] [2]. Mr. Bob Moore is a manager who has been
working for a company for more than 25 years. All the customers wanted him to work for the construction
of the buildings as Mr. Bob Moore is a very efficient manager of the company. We can easily manage a job
properly but we cannot manage a leader because he or she first should think about the decisions to be
taken for the project, this shows that Mr. Bob Moore is a good manager [3].
PM Execution
The project manager should communicate with the members of his team for avoiding the issues and the
dangers that can hamper the project for implementing the project in a proper way [4]. In the case study,
Mr. Jim, the engineer who recently joined the organization of the construction of a building project in the
southern United States for constructing about $34 million classrooms in a University. Though Mr. Jim was a
junior engineer in the organization, still he found out the ethical issues in the system in the site of execution
[5]. He tried to sort out the problem by discussing it with Mr. Bob Moore other than reporting it to the
project manager of the system.
PM Risk Analysis
For avoiding the problems which can negatively impact the project, the risk management analyses are
required to be conducted in every project [6]. So the risk analysis too has to be conducted in this project
involving distinctions analysis which is quality based and quantity based.
Some of the recognized dangers of the project are the workers may not be able to visit the working site due
to heavy rainfall, then the working hours of the workers' cost management is a major risk in the project.
The construction time can get maximized due to heavy rainfall and proper funding cannot be done on the
site of construction due to heavy rainfall.
Before beginning the project work of the construction, all the risks are required to be identified and the
mitigation plan is required to be made [7] [8]. The uses of the resources should be properly planned and
don't in the construction site during the rainfall seasons.
Ethics Assessment
Now discussing the expectations of the leadership skills where the sustainability of the aspects of ethics is
essential in the job, it can be easily concluded that the project had various ethical issues which Mr. Jim and
Mr. Bob Moore conducted in the project. The ethical problems which are identified in this project are:
Mr. Jim should have bothered the ethics code of PMI and was required to be loyal at least for maintaining
the organization’s position in the Marketplace by informing about the misuse of the resources of the
organization directly to the project manager other than discussing it with Mr. Bob Moore.
Mr. Bob Moore has not conducted the ethics' APM code where the company's and public's interest where
to be put before putting their private interests.
Ethics Alternatives
At the construction site for the ethical behaviour’s sustainability, Mr. Jim and Mr. Bob Moore have another
choice except for the selected one like-

Mr. Bob Moore could have left the workers without using them for his own personal work by paying them
from the account of the company or the organization.
Mr. Bob Moore should have discussed the resources required by the workers at the construction site during
the heavy rainfall before they started working on the construction work and would have dumped the
resources at the site as per the mobilization plan.
Some merits and demerits could have been:
Leaving the workers so that they can go back to their home may have discouraged them and they may have
loosened their interest in the project work.
If there were no sign of rainfall during the construction work, the unavailability of the workers at the
construction site could have negatively affected the project.
Ethics Analysis
PMI's structure of the decision making in ethics states that the problems related to ethics should have pain
overcome properly. Many additional members should have been added in the organization for this project
and they all together should have analysed the project and then as per the principles of ethics, they should
have used the decision taken by them during the implementation of the project.
Assessment: Proper ethical problems should have been Asus by Mr. Jim properly [9]
Alternative: As per our discussions in the above part of the report, Mr. Jim would have created proper
alternatives in the project
Analysis: Proper analysis of the alternatives should have been done by Mr. Jim
Application: Proper decisions should have been taken by Mr. Jim.
Action: Proper actions should have been taken by Mr. Jim
Ethics Application
The ethical problems would have been sorted out by aiming to choose a good application of ethics which
would have been beneficial for all the persons by using the PMI structure. Proper mobilization plan for the
resource ought to be made before the starting of the construction work to reduce the chances of the
quarrel which has been caused in the case study Mr. Jim ought to report all the activities about Mr. Bob
Moore to the project manager and should be able to take proper decisions.
Ethics Action
Few good decisions could have been like, the project manager should have been given an update on the
project regularly and the workers during the rainfall season should have been demobilized and proper
plans should have been made for the labours.
If these decisions could have been taken for the development and construction it would have been more
beneficial and the ethical problem could have been solved easily or avoided. We need to bring more
transparency in a work for sustaining the standard of the ethics in the place of work [5] [10]. It can be easily
stated that Mr. Bob had a positive intention about the project but due to the wrong decisions that were
taken by Mr. Bob, the ethical problems were raised. If Mr. Bob would have been more transparent in the
work for the project manager then these ethical problems would have been avoided easily.
