MANAGEMENT COMMUNICATION

Topic: Strategic Communication
In this I have investigated secondary academic papers to recognise the manner leaders
undertake communication within a firm. During 21st century they execute communication
strategies with more focus on strategy that is corelated with process.
Increasing visualisation to communicate
A holistic interpretation of organisational strategy is required to establish clear association
between components of strategy and organisational process so as to ensure its effective
communication and implementation. This is significant as it helps employees directly
interpret the relationship between operation process and organisational strategy through
visualisation of strategy that links strategy to process. de Salas and Huxley (2014, p. 110)
states: ‘ the creation and visualisation of Strategy -to-Process Map helps in enhanced
successful implementation through understanding and communication of that strategy and it
links to process to those who need to operationalise it’. The leaders need to clearly interpret
the visualisation of communication within the firm. This will ensure effective strategic
development process at both process level and at approach level that can support leaders to
enhance the efficaciousness of communications (Argenti 2017). I hence recommend ABC
creates a visual map that connect strategy to process to promote effective communication by
leaders and underpinning its successful implementation.
Execution of business intelligence and communication technology for organisational
agility
Strategy to Process Map can offer new approach through which firms can communicate
without dependency on any particular strategy development archetype. This helps in better
implementation of strategy by closely connecting with process (de Salas & Huxley 2014). In
modern period of big data age firms can make more investment to enhance resource for
business intelligence, analytics and communication technology to rapidly interpret and

proactively respond to dynamic changes of customer and business preferences with new
emerging technology and effective competitor moves. Park, El Sawy and Fiss (2017, p. 670)
comment: ‘Practically, multiple configuration of high agility and multifaceted roles of IT
imply that organisation in different condition can select their unique configuration that can be
more effective and affordable in achieving agility’. Thus I recommend that leaders of ABC
company in reality can look for different alternatives to select from to attain more dexterity
that can leverage firms abilities with effective link between strategy and communication.
Strategic communication for effective strategy implementation
The leaders need to clearly interpret visualisation of communication within firm so as to
ensure effective strategic development process that can support leaders to enhance
efficaciousness of communications. (Argenti 2017) Comments Argenti (2017, p.157): ‘The
dynamics of communication not only occurs from top to down but also between employees
that might help efforts of leaders to communicate values and strategies clearly and
consistently to employees’. Hence, in modern time of dynamic business environment firms
can sharpen their sensing, ensure quick decision making and prompt action responses to
explore more opportunities and respond adequately to risks (Park, El Sawy & Fiss 2017).
Thus it is recommended that leaders of ABC company can use information technology tools
to establish effective communication through alignment between process and strategy.
Hence it can be inferred that leaders need to establish link between process and strategy with
help of information communication tools for better execution of strategy within organisation.
