Android App Project Proposal: Karan's Pizza (Semester 1, University)

This document presents a project proposal for the development of an Android application designed for Karan's Pizza. PROJECT PROPOSAL
Overview
Objective- Karan’s is having a physical store of pizza in various locations. They are going to
develop an android version app which will help people in finding nearest pizza shop, order it
online, etc. also, app will be useful for people to choose from variety of food items and buying it.
moreover, it will be easy for user to not visit store and prefer home delivery. Besides this, it will
be easy for user to view various offers which are available on food items. Therefore, this app is
been developed to make it easy for user to provide online food delivery system.
Aim to develop app- Karan’s app will have a unique and flexible background through which
user can order pizza online in effective way. the aim of developing this app is it will help me in
gaining more knowledge about different programming language and providing a platform for
customer to experience online food shopping. Furthermore, it will give a brief overview to
people about Karan’s physical store and where it is situated. They will be able to access what
type of offers are available on particular products. Alongside it, user can log in from Facebook
and read reviews and feedback of people about best pizza and other things.
Features of app- the website will have following pages.
Launcher screen – it is first screen which will show logo of app and company on screen of user.
Login screen – then, on second screen it will allow user to sign in by entering all details or log
in via using Facebook or Google or adding SDK.
Home screen - Then, it will show all physical pizza stores nearby user location. With this user
can view nearest pizza shop through Google maps. It will also show details for calling. At
bottom ads will be displayed.
Dummy list of products – on next page a menu will appear that contain list food items and
price. The user can select food items and order it.
Cart screen - after this, a next page ‘shopping cart’ will open where user can view overall list of
ordered items. Here, it will consist option of removing items or adding it. there will be a button
to move to payment screen.
Payment screen – here, it will show total amount to be paid and user have to select payment
method and enter all details such as delivery address, contact no, name, etc. at bottom cancel or
continue button will be there.

Thanks screen – After successful payment, thanks screen will be displayed to user.
Inspiration
Dominos’ app
The idea of developing such kind of app came in mind when I did some research about
similar apps where they provide same type of features. it allows user to find our nearest physical
store and order food online. There were many other things which was included in app. Also, it
allowed user to view list of food items with their price. This makes it easy for them to quickly
order pizza.
It helped me in deigning Karan’s app. I also identified that I can allow user to directly log
in from their social media account. It will be simple and easier process. Moreover, they can also
write their reviews and suggest ideas to others. Thus, by implementing these features in my app I
was able to improve its performance and accessibility. User can view advertisement in app as
well. It will provide an idea about offers and discounts available.
