This research project plan outlines the development of a mobile application designed for 4-star hotels in Australia, enabling customers to make reservations and payments online. The plan includes a situation analysis, research objectives, methodology (mixed-methods approach using both primary and secondary data), and a detailed schedule. Key stakeholders are identified, including the supervisor, researcher, and mobile app developer. The research aims to determine the commercial feasibility and usability of the app across different smartphone operating systems. The project includes a literature review, questionnaire surveys, and data analysis using SPSS software. The schedule spans from August 2019 to February 2020, covering initiation, planning, execution, data analysis, evaluation, and finalization stages. The project's ultimate goal is to assess the viability of a mobile app that enhances convenience for both hotel customers and the establishments themselves.
