distinctive skills and qualities that enables him/her to lead the team and
make even the most difficult people to work as a team. I have understood
that a team needs a leader for motivation. An efficient leader needs to
know the process by which a particular individual will be motivated in a
best possible way to lead the team in an effective manner. I have
understood the importance of opting for an efficient leader in a project
management team. In the project team of MBFSA project, there is a
significant need of a motivational leader. Manager of a project team can
often act as a project leader. It is necessary to choose a leader who has
the capability of dispute resolution within the team. Dispute solution is
one of the most significant skills that a project manager or a leader
should possess.
Certain basic qualities are needed to be present in the manager of a
project so that an IT project team is lead effectively. The project manager
needs to have a basic understanding of the various project issues that a
team might face and should know a way of resolution of the same. An
experienced project manager and a project leader is needed in the team
in order to ensure that the manager has the capability of handling the
team in an effective manner. Apart from that having an effective
communication skill is important to establish a good communication link
among all the members of the team. Along with that active listening skill
is equally important for a project manager.
