Introduction
Mobile Cloud Computing has become an important innovation in terms of mobile
technology in order to grow the usage of the mobile application effectively. The need for
computer resources can be fulfilled by the combinational approach of mobile and cloud
computing technology. It functions by providing multiple services hosted by a data center
consisting of hardware devices like storage, servers, and other networking devices (Othman,
Madani and Khan 2013). The cloud servers provide high computational features which are used
in mobile phones. It allows all type of phones to successfully perform heavy activities without
stressing the mobile device. This report discussed the role of mobile cloud computing, the new
trends, and innovations in the field of Electronic commerce along with the wireless technology
evolution. It also discusses the benefits and advantages of mobile cloud computing in the
electronic commerce industries.

Mobile Cloud Computing
Mobile cloud computing provides an environment in which the data processing and
storage can both be done with mobile. This environment can harness the computing powers of
mobile as well as the cloud network. The data storage and computing can both be accessed using
the wireless connection from the clouds. In terms of the resources for the processing, the mobile
is insufficient, and cloud computing provides the large storages, high processing power to the
mobiles. There are multiple cloud services available, in the present, such as Amazon Web
Services, which work as Infrastructure as a service and Platform as a service (Wamuyu 2017). In
the field of Mobile commerce and businesses, it provides a platform to perform all business

processes. All the E-business activities can be done with mobile except some bandwidth and
network-related issues. Mobile cloud computing provides a huge advantage for the business. For
example, it is cost-efficient for the organizations as the consumer can have all the features on
their mobile itself. Today the population of the mobile holders is way greater than the computer
holders; hence, it can help in targeting a larger audience for the business. Apart from that, the
new 4G technologies provide a faster type of transaction.
In total, mobile cloud computing provides easy access to a shop, increases in customers,
advance marketing abilities, reduced cost, and time consumption for both the parties. Carrying
mobile phones is also an easy task for the user rather than relying on the more significant
computational devices for heavy tasking. Apart from that, the mobile services such as push
notifications and flexibilities in the mode of payments help customers (Flores and Srirama 2014).
To business, it helps in creating brand reputation, product impact, and improves customer loyalty
along with the improvement of the products. The capability of cloud computing along the
mobile devices provides a wider range of features and functionalities for the organizations. The
mobile applications can be deployed wirelessly from the cloud development tools, which help in
computational tasks and storage.
Wireless Technology, Trends and Innovations in Business
The technology has evolved to the ability where the wire connections are no longer
required for connectivity. Mobile commerce can be defined as electronic commerce, where
mobile phones can be used for business activities and transactions that are connected wirelessly
to the network. The innovations are happening at a faster rate around the world, especially in the
mobile commerce sector. It is expected to become $3.5 trillion in the upcoming year, which is
almost 70% of the total e-commerce market (Varghese and Buyya 2018). The reason behind the

mobile technologies getting trendy is that a majority of people uses smartphone a daily basis
around the world. The rise of instant transactions and payments feature in a smartphone, has
helped the E-commerce to become so easy for smartphone users. The innovation of Artificial
Intelligence has helped in reaching out to the customers and targeted audiences for business
organizations. On the other hand, it has been observed that most of the shoppers buy products via
social media advertisements or posts. It can be clearly seen that the innovations in mobile cloud
computing are supporting the businesses very well.
Conclusion
It has been seen that mobile cloud computing is supporting the mobile in aspects of
computation, storage, etc. for the businesses. It is one of the technologies that is going to provide
more for the world as it provides advantages from mobile computing and cloud computing both.
From the company’s point of view, it reduces the cost and time by spending less on the
maintenance and focuses on the business by targeting more potential customers. The benefits of
Mobile cloud computing has not been fully discovered yet. The innovations and trends in mobile
cloud computing are increasing the globalization of mobile devices. The larger computing
devices such as computers and laptops are getting replaced by these smaller and compact
devices.
