Introduction
As the number of small portable devices increases, these devices are equipped with internet
connectivity these devices are useful in several factors such as mobile communication, tracking the
things, doing remote operations. Wireless mobile technology allows users to interact and avail the
internet facility to do various things. Mobile networks have given flexibility in doing the work.
Wireless communication is much better than wired communication as it provides better
transmission and better stability. Mobile communication devices have increased rapidly. While using
this technology many challenging factors occur such as the battery, radio size and range of the
transmitter. While using network a device should able to decide which network should be used for
the better connectivity for example: - a Wi-Fi network, LAN. The channel capacity is much more in
wireless communication and some interference factor also affects the network like noise.
Furthermore, security is also a major concern for data protection. A wireless network gives a path to
connected through a user and network by having definite bandwidth. Mobile technology has various
forms like wireless local network, wireless local loops, and the most emerging technology Bluetooth
which provides transmission at a short distance and low cost too, as it uses an unlicensed band so it
does not charge anything for the service and it works in 2.4GHz.
Methods used for mobile transmission and communication: -
• Wireless LAN: - Wireless local area network architecture is made to provide connectivity in the
small area like a building, workplace, office or any public place. Its main advantages that it is wireless
and secure, where data could be shared over a network. This network is used mainly by an entity
and all the users are connected to a single network or uses a shared network. This network
technology is flexible and has good bandwidth. As all the users are connected to the same network
and detection or tracking of an attacker in the network is not easy, as all users have the same signals
in the medium. The interference problem is less because of the use of microwave or infrared
communication spectrum but using this communication medium it will only cover a less area. Spread
spectrum distributes the signal over a good range to reduce interference. To enhance its security
some encoding methods can be used so that any third person cannot able to use the network. The
WLAN standards are IEEE.802.11 – this can support speed up to 1 Mbps and it also gives a choice to
select the medium of communication that can be infrared or spread spectrum and it also saves the
battery and HIPERLAN supports a speed of 23.5Mbps and it only gives priority access.
• Wireless local loops: - this technology is made for the long distance communication network as
WLAN have limited accessibility and is work only in a sufficient range and the companies have a pay
additional amount for the extension or taking a new WLAN service so to solve this issue wireless
local loops are introduced. This network can provide large distance communication locally and have
good bandwidth and it also saves cost, it provides several MHz bands of bandwidth. But the data
speed of this network is very low and can initially be used for the phone. This network can be used in
900, 1800, and 1900 MHz with a speed of 9.8Kbps for the limited size of the user. WLAN is used with
wireless local loops for increasing the speed of the data, it uses a local multipoint distribution system
(LMDS) and its applications are cable television and telephone. (Zheng, et al., 2012)
• Satellites: - geo satellites have a wide area coverage and can be used generally for broadcasting
and long distance communication and also to provide data services. This technology has grown in
recent time and it is also used for commercial purposes as well. It has many benefits as it covers a
very area for the transmission.

through a safe channel. This will increase the chances of securing the data from the third person.
