Introduction
A business idea is a concept which focuses on a product or service which can be sold for money
by using a unique business model. In this task, we will describe the business idea of running a
repair Centre and providing service to customers (Heinonen, Hytti, & Stenholm, 2011). In our
day to day lives, we encounter a lot of problems at home example broken mobiles. We go ahead
to repair the mobiles by ourselves and this problem can be solved by running a mobile repair
center which will offer repair services to customers. Innovation is required in this business idea
because it's a business with a room for growth. This is because people spent a lot of money on
home maintenance and repair per year. The customer segmentation includes; opening a retail
shop where customers with broken phones go for repair services, selling repair services to
institutions or organizations which have devices that require servicing and repairs and fixing and
reselling devices that you acquire online through amazon or eBay.
Benefits generated by the idea
One can work at home by starting with just a shoestring, this makes the customers happy because
you are able to do something they cannot do (Legner, Nolte, & Urbach, 2011, June). As a result,
customers’ loyalty is increased and this positions the business firmly in the market place.
A mobile repair business generates good income and is always thriving in any economic climate.
Generation of higher incomes boosts the company’s net worth making its easy to obtain credit
from other money lending institutions as the credit rating is enhanced.
The entrepreneurs of a mobile repair center are usually involved in the community they live.
They may sponsor a local team, offer donations and also participate in some community charity
events. Corporate social responsibilities increase a company’s reputation and public image hence
broadening its position in the industry.

automobile use. This leads to a better air quality because people avoid vehicles by either walking
or bicycling. High quality brand products sell higher/ better in the market and boost a company’s
performance.
A mobile repair shop business requires only a few public services and fewer infrastructures. This
makes it more affordable. In this regard, the company is able to buy more raw materials for
production hence boost the production efficiency.
Proposed business model
A mobile repair business employs a mobile operation business model for analysis and
improvement so as it can grow and be successful. This business model contains nine building
blocks which are analyzed for the issues and problems contained in the current business model
(Zott, Amit, & Massa, 2011). The blocks of the business model explain four main areas of any
business; offer, customers, infrastructure and financial viability.
Value proposition
A mobile repair business offers their customers repair solutions for their business processes at a
cheap price. By repairing the mobiles in the best way, the customers are able to turn to them
every time they have a problem with their mobiles (Cantù, 2010). As a result, the value of the

understand well their customers for the business survival and success. Different customer
segments of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and gender are targeted. This increased the
company’s target market.
Customer relationships
The relationship with customers is important in the evaluation of the business and its business
model. It also increases the number of customers. A proper business relationship with customers
increases sales, customer loyalty and retention, as well as attracting more new customers in the
business.
Revenue streams

capture value from the business system. As a result, the returns to business from its sales
increases making the company able to purchase new production equipment and materials as well
as boosting manpower.

mobile repair shop should be located where its access to both residential and office going people

Spare parts
If spares are at hand, they will be able to offer a faster service, hence they should ensure the
spares are readily available any time
Advanced level repairs
If the repairers fix a mobile which could not be handled by their rivals, they become famous
because people need places where their problems are solved.
A quick service
Mobile phones have become an addict and people need them to be repaired immediately. For one
to be more reputable, they have to fix the mobiles quickly for the business to grow (John Walker,
2014). Prompt customer services also boost a company’s productivity in all perspectives.
Advertising both online and offline
Not all people are online because there a lot of people who are still offline and they prefer the old
modes of communication. By advertising offline, this kind of people is reached by either using
posters or flyers (Houston, 2013). Online advertising is also important because most people
search online for services, this will help reach many people.
Customer satisfaction and feedback
The mobile repairers should always ask their customers how these services are so as to improve
in the fields that are not rated well. It’s good to make the customers feel satisfied with their
services. When customers’ demands, tastes and preferences are met; they become happy and
motivated to buy more of the product from the company.
Offering more products and services
By offering more services or products increases the number of customers. This helps generate
more income and profits and also have more markets. In addition to just repairing mobiles, you
can also start repairing laptops, computers or even tablets (Riisgaard, Mosgaard, & Zacho, 2016).

and responsibilities (Parker, Bejan, & Brosseau, 2012). It also takes into consideration the
SWOT analysis, market trends, target market, competitive advantage. The business plan also
contains; sources of income, sales forecast, pricing strategy and payment pricing.
There are several ways which the mobile repair business makes its sales and profits; choosing a
good name of the business, deciding the location, advertising and marketing, expert technicians
and also quick and best repair services.
As the usage of mobile phones and tablets has increased, the mobile repair business has grown in
the past five years. On the other hand, there are devices which have been implemented to make
