Impact of mobile technology
Quite simply, it can be seen that the digital directly impacts on the overall society since the last
period has been wide and its reflection over the tourism sector has been huge. It can simply be
analyzed that the mobile technology is a seamless fit for the travel and tourism sector. Tourism is
just the on-the-go involvement where the mobile technology is ideally suitable for the perfect
travelers. The advantage of smartphones and the competences gives tourists at their fingertips
which have authorized tourists with the levels of liberty and suppleness than ever before. The
mobile technology is simply shaping the travel experience. The use of connected mobile devices
in daily context affects the cognitive beliefs towards the value of mobile devices for travel
activities.
The association between tourism and technology has been always very concentrated. The main
challenges which are facing in the tourism and travel sector are related to the location-based
facilities and tourism. It is used for searching data and facilities sooner than the old-style
location-based communication. Through the mobile technology, the tourist can select the venue
as per their budget or income. Individuals can also record their travel courses by using GPS plans
and also can share their traveling experience to others. The mobile technology is developed in
such a way that the travel application can notify the user as per their traveling day or date. The

the world have various ways of transportation which are used to travel the different tourist spots.
The convenience of the transportation is important for both the visitors and tourist place’s
geographical conditions and advancement of transportation technology (Akgunduz and Sanli,
2017).
Many researchers have found that there is much advancement has brought in the air
transportation which has increased its strength as well as efficiency. The new technology-based
jets are more efficient in many aspects. They can carry more passengers and can cover more
distance in short time. In addition to this, the luxury facilities and facilities to the economic class
have made all easy for the tourist to visit the different tourist spots through the world. The
transportation barrier has found to be the most significant barrier found too impede the ways of
traveling or impacts the tourism. In addition to this, the cost of the tourism is also one of the
causes impacting the tourism. This factor was found to be implemented on the international
tourists more (Ballantyne and Packer, 2013).
There are some other factors which the literature has addressed impact the tourism and travel
industry. The traveling or transportation has the impact on tourism and the similar impact has
found to be on the transportation as well of the tourist spots. The marketing and innovation
strategies which the companies or tourist spots have impacted the industry in various ways. The
tourism for the natives stands for the different meaning coming from the outside or through the
globe. In this manner, the tourist spots and traveling means or transportation are interlinked and
found to have various impacts on the industry, its growth, and fame.
The second variable which has found to have a significant impact on the tourism is
communication means and technologies. The communication-related technologies impacted
various aspects of life in many ways. The tourism industry has found the significant impact of
the communication technologies on the traveling and tourism industry. The study has found that
a tourist who travels internationally and retched to the various spots needs the constant means of
communication. The advancements in the telecommunication and social media apps have made
life easy and make it possible for the world to get connected by the click to reach to any part of
the world. This ease of communication along with the financial benefits, facilitate the tourists to

2.1 Match resources efficiently to the research question or hypothesis
The research questions which have been made were related to explore the aims and achieve the
primary objectives of the research. The literature in this regard has been related to the variables
which are part of the main objectives and aim of the research. The researchers on the objectives
of the exploring their opinions on the role and influence of the technological advances in the
transportation and mean of communication have been taken. The studies have revealed the
findings in the different context or population and through the different research methodology
(Bajpai, 2011).
The gaps in the literature have taken into consideration and then the main questions have derived
from the study. The main objectives of the study aim to benefit the industry with the research in
the area which has not completely revealed and there is room for the advancements in the current
method of study. The different limitation which has found through the literature in the
methodology as well as in the finding the different correlating variables have taken into
consideration. Based on the limitations the gaps in the literature it has found that the suitable
method of the current study is a quantitative method. The survey will be conducted on the
employee population while giving them the close-ended questionnaire ranked on the five-point
Likert scale. The data will be analysed by parametric tests and SPSS will be used in this regard.
The findings will be presented in the form of tables, graphs originally or in the form of pictures.
The customer decision-making process plays an important role in the tourism sector. It can be
considered as an effective tool which will be helpful in knowing the correct position of the
product and service in the marketplace. Basically, the research helps in collecting many of the
data and information about the current trends and demand of the customers. Mainly there are two
types of resources which are used in a project for the collection of information. These are
secondary and primary. The primary research consists of the discussion and evaluation which
helps in providing accurate and reliable data to the user. On the other hand, the secondary
research is linked with the collection of information through the newspaper, letter, survey results
and many more (Flick, 2015).

2.2 Undertake the proposed research investigation in accordance with the agreed
specification and procedures
The research was designed in a manner that includes different milestones to be covered. It aims
to investigate the positive negative and overall impact of the technologies on the travel and
tourism industry. There are different aspects of the research which are added in regard to the
study conducted on draws of technology in specific related to the communication mean or
internet. The questionnaire will be designed exactly in accordance with the desired objective of
the study and the valid tool which will measure what it aims to measure by the study. The
research design is based on the pre-assumed findings and already existing theories as research
question have drawn from the pre-existing work. The sample is also based on the proposed gaps
in the literature. The methodology related to the sampling is also high in its external validity
(Bryman and Bell, 2015).
The sample of the study consists of 50 employees. These employees will be those which have
been visited by at least three famous tourists' sites. These tourists’ sites are related to the
standards and include the means of communication and use the transportation for approaching
the site. These features of the sample made it most relevant but challenging to find as well. In
this regard, the validity of the research will increase the validity of the sample. In addition to this,
the research method will increase the internal validity of the study as well, as the questioner will
be derived from most relevant questions.
The methodology of the study is approaching the relevant sample and collection of data from
self-developed questionnaire includes all the features of having an internal and external validity
of the research. The sample will be collected through the purposive sample as inclusion criteria
of the sample include all the participants or employees who have at least visited three tourism
sites featured with the main variables of the study like having presence on the communication
means and reaching to the sites may involve transportation means as well, as these two measures
will be part of the system. The main objective of the study is making it methodologically valid,
reliable and free of biases. In this regard, all the ethical considerations have been taken care of
and the relevant measure like single-blind method has been used while preceding the operation
of the study.

2.3 Record and collate relevant data where appropriate
The data collected from the participants of the study requires analysis in order to explore the
finding or interpretation of the numerical data collected in the form of ranking on the Likert scale
on the basis of the questions asked. The data will be analysed through SPSS. The coding
techniques will be used as part of the essential requirement of the study. The data entry will be
based on the specific statistical analysis like parametric or nonparametric tests, t statistics or
analysis of variance. The method will be a parametric test but initially, descriptive statistics will
be used to explore the means and variances in the data. Secondly, the inferential statistics will be
used to find the mean differences among the positive impacts of the negative impacts of the
technology in the field of travel and tourism industry. The data analysis will be shown in the
output sheet of SPSS. Not all but the most relevant information provided in the form of tables
and charts will be quoted in the results chapters and the results will be interpreted in that. These
results will further guide the discussion as well as the conclusion of the study (Crowther and
Lancaster, 2011).

Task 3
Introduction
Looking at task three, it is actually the details about the methods that have been used in the
research. The main thing for the consideration is that the techniques are needed to be up to the
mark as the overall research is needed to be justified and the proper techniques are needed to be
used so that the better responses could be gained at all possible times. It is also seen that the
results will be shown as the different tests will be applied in the detail which will actually show
the real findings of the research. In the last the conclusion, limitations and recommendations will
be seen which are important for the research at all points.
3.1 Appropriate research evaluation techniques
The research evaluation is needed to be done at all possible points and it is really important so
that the better research could be conducted at all levels. The main thing for the consideration is
that the objectives and the research questions that are being made are needed to be taken care as
the correct and justified procedures are needed to be chosen at all points. It is further seen that
the validity and the reliability will be seen as the Cronbach’s alpha will be seen in the research so
that the reliability could be assured at all points. It is further seen that the objectives, the aims
and the different hypothesis that are being made are really good enough and they are needed to
be taken care so that the better treatment could be done (Bell, 2014).
Looking at some of the benefits of the research that have been conducted, is said to be as the
quantitative research design is being used in here and due to that the proper statistical tool will be
used and that is the main reason the overall better position will be sustained at all levels. Yes
there were some of the difficulties that were being faced actually in collecting the data and to
manage the time and the resources that were allocated to do the research but the matter of fact is
that all were being done in the correct manner and the better response was being collected at all
points so that the better response could be delivered.

methods for identifying the current market changes along with the demand of customers. In
general, there are two types of research method:
Formative research- For fostering the success in an effective way, the company can use
formative research with their on-going functions or program. The formative research can be done
within the working period of the organization.
Summative research- In the summative research, the organization can only take a decision after
the completion of the activity. This can be responsible for affecting the overall time, cost and
effort of the firm in a negative way. The conclusion or the result can easily be identified.
For TUI Group, the formative research method will be used so that the development of the new
activities can be done in a wide range. The organization can take survey or feedbacks of the
customers also in the working period of the firm. This will be helpful in enhancing the
development as well as growth level of the firm.

3.3 Make recommendations for their research and link to research findings and justify
areas for further consideration
It is clearly seen that the overall conclusion, recommendations, and the future directions are
needed to be there in the research as it is most important part to be seen in the research.
Recommendations
Moving to the below recommendations, it could be notified that a couple of main
recommendations is given as the business owners and the managers are needed to state that the
technology is better for the tourism sector such as the social media usage, internet facility, online
booking and so on as the results of the study clearly indicates that the hypothesis is accepted and
the positive relationship is there. That is the reason the technology usage is needed to be
increased so that the sales and the performance could be increased.
Future considerations
For the companies who are in the same sector needs to identify the reasons and the technology
used is needed to be increased. Further, the qualitative aspects could be increased from an
academic point of view in this research. On the other hand, further research could be done by the
mediation of the service quality in the model and others so that the exact situation could be seen
that how much impact is there on the success of the business by the technology aspect.

Conclusion
Moving to the conclusion of the research, it is clearly seen that the overall different aspects are
being carried out and many different tests are being applied. The best thing to consider is that all
aspects are seen and it is clearly seen that the hypothesis is accepted in his case. The theory
testing was done as the deductive approach was used and the hypothesis was needed to be tested.
The significance and the strong relationship in between both variables clearly show that the
positivity is there and the use of technology is better for the businesses all over and that is the
reason they are needed to be increased as well. This report has been focussing on the influence of
mobile technology in the tourism and travel sector. This can be concluded that the TUI Group
needs to organize questionnaire session with their customers or employees on monthly basis.
This will be helpful in knowing the current trends along with the new services in the tourism
industry.
