sites. Every new invention has both positive as well as the negative impact. Similarly, mobile
technologies and social networking brought new avenue of using the technology in business
transactions and decision-making. Due to ease in communication process, the operations of a
business has become faster. Moreover, at the same time it brings distraction at the workplace.
This essay highlights the way Australia`s economy is influenced by the use of new mobile
technologies. Apart from business purposes, social networking has connected people at
global level especially family and friends. Every invention has disadvantages too such as
excessive use of mobile technology and social sites has affected the health of people
especially eyes in children.

underlying infrastructure (such as wireless internet access) enables the communication
access to data and information.

broadband that led to increase in $26.5 billion hike in Australia’s economic activity.

mobile technology has created risk to security and privacy issues. Moreover, it has risked the
personal information of employees, these actions of risk requires IT security needs. Various
portable devices are vulnerable to security risks, especially when they contain critical and
sensitive business data. An organisation should take precautions, which ensure that accessing
the data, and devices remain safe. Various cyber security for business that secure the wireless

Australia spent their time on social media. It is reported that almost 8 out of 10 Australians
