OVERVIEW ON MODERN FEMINISM 1
Feminism
Feminism is described as a concept where the women should be equally treated on political,
cultural, economic, and social grounds between the genders in relevance to the present
scenario. It states regarding a particular ideology of initiating such a term as a worldwide
movement to empower every woman (Farris and Rottenberg). However, the motive is to
work together against the male influenced society in a manner which can come up with
positive changes. In the USA, the feminist movements made a great impact on their politics.
In today’s world, the term feminism means being oneself and leading a life without any fear
or being judged or taken as a joke every time (Reger). The major objective behind the
upliftment of feminism is to show the importance of women in every sphere and to reveal the
past history where women have been considered lower to men. Yes, it is a very useful term in
viewing the current situation as this will give equal rights and opportunities to both privileged
and underprivileged women and improve their status in society. It will also affect and change
the way how people perceive their negative thinking towards a woman by repeatedly
suffering from unequal treatment in every aspect of life (Weitz). This feminist movement is a
very necessary key feature in this era as it is the most important social justice movements of
this generation which will improve better circumstances for all the women to move ahead in
relating to their destiny, their pay, their pay, their ability to parent, their ability to work or in
terms of taking their own decisions in life. However, this concept highlights the variations
which have been seen since so many years where many have been deprived of their rights in
respect to men. So, it is further stating the positivity which has transformed the living
standards of women while taking initiative for themselves in every field.
