The modern era is dynamic in relation to business and commerce. There is consistent fast paced
changes all around, fast changes in industrial movements, globalization and new customer needs
which all sum up together to make business organizations bring new thought process while
performing their functions for achieving competitive advantage. The entire world is a single
global village today (Anonymous, 2015). For building up business organizations which will be
successful modern management needs to keep up to modern new trends, concepts methods and
principles which will cause high competition in the marketplace. The modern revolution of
“managerial” area requires every manger to use modern methods and means which will help
organizations prepare well to combat modern nature of challenges (Baum & Joel, 2012).It is only
those management systems which are always ready to face robust changes by suing modern
competitive methods which will bring continuous improvement which stands out ultimately.
One of the greatest challenges of leadership in the modern world is facing paradoxical stresses
and tensions. Business organizations today are driven by both the paradoxes of processes and
culture (Lavine, 2014).
However during such changing times the enormous pressure which is created on the
management for maintaining competitive advantage is never ending. The paper focuses on
analyzing how for the sake of competitive modern management has become a complex system
and it is actually a problem today. By definition there is no specific description that can be given
to modern management (Nevins, 2017). Management existing in every business organization is
responsible for developing the organization. In the modern commercial world management is a
tool every organization must have. Rivalry in between business enterprises has enhanced
dramatically over the last few decades in the world. The peer pressure given by organizations
located globally for ensuring better usage of resources and bringing better results and make
enhanced performances is high. Managers as a result today are learning fast how to cope with
such fast changes (Sharma, 2013). Instead of enterprise managers become innovative and

creative in their ideas they simply react and make prompt changes to face up to the high
competition levels. As a result many times organizations fail.

Such complexities are a problem today. Scholars are of the opinion that even transforming from
one century to another has caused a lot of complexity, paradox and ambiguity to leadership. This
is because the focus has shifted from only making good quality products and fulfilling consumer
needs to a system where everyone is running to be the number one leader in the global
marketplace (Jones & George, 2008). Building up of competitive advantages using ethical
means and at the same time using advanced technology and managing the entire human resource
and combating global economical crisis diligently management has become a complex set of
business practice. Instead of the management driving the company further up it is the various
external factors such as fast technological changes which are driving organizations.
