Opportunities due to change in modern workforce
The modern workforce has become quasi-formal which is slowly diminishing the
concept of stable jobs among the population. It has potential benefits and has opened up
significant opportunities for the employees [1]. This change in the workforce provides more
self-direction and autonomy for the workforce which is more preferred by the millennial.
This would make the work more enjoyable and creative for the employees. This has provided
opportunity of developing new skills and opting for variety of roles. This would lead to the
upliftment of the global poor and the middle class.
Overcoming obstacles to diversity
Diversity management is one of the major concerns of senior management in modern
global organizations. The major element is developing a transparent communication system
which will consist of clear safety, and health policies and company ethos [2]. There needs to
be clarity in the accountability of every employee so that every employee receives equal
treatment. It is critical to develop a diverse team so that everyone is considered as individuals
instead of being type casted. Moreover, different religions have different values and beliefs
which needs to be considered. Managers need to be sensitive about these issues which
provides respect to the employee and their respective religion. Senior managers should
promote an organization which is inclusive in nature and promotes tolerance, compassion and
respect for each other.
