Chapter 3: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
3.1: Introduction
This section of investigation played a crucial role in which investigator applied
various methods to collect data in systematic manner. Along with this, it is
considered as a procedure in which support in providing path or direction to
investigator to undertake the study (Meyers and Van Woerkom,, 2014). It helped
them in evaluating as well as measure the effectiveness of data in well-organised
manner. It consisted different ways and option to execute entire study.

Selecting select right or suitable research technique is crucial for investigator
to undertake study in systematic manner. By this, investigator collected relevant and
valid information about the research topic and also draw a reliable conclusion
(Benavides-Velasco, Quintana-García and Marchante-Lara, 2014). It classified on
the basis of two type of investigation such as qualitative and quantitative research. In
this qualitative research is considered as an effective method as it created accurate
information about the investigation topic by understanding about social science and
human prospective as well. The focus of this type of method is to discover ideas to
collect information. It included various methods of collecting data is group
discussion, in-depth interview, close ended questions and many more. Whereas,
quantitative research refers to the systematic empirical study of observable
phenomena through mathematical and computational techniques. It helped
investigator in collect authenticate information to find the appropriate solution
towards the research issue. For this research, investigator applied both qualitative
and quantitative research for performing research task.
3.3: Research techniques:
There are various method to attempt research in organized way. As it helped in
collecting applicable information in-front of selected topic and area. Therefore, it is
crucial for investigator to select right and suitable research technique to gather
relevant data about selected. In these regards, there are different type of research
techniques such as interview, focus group, observation, survey, questionnaire,
modelling, case studied and many more. These are effective for gathering relevant
data and information towards the selected topic and area as well. For undertaking
this research, investigator has used questionnaire that includes various questions
asked from selected participants for understanding their opinion.
This can be effective for attaining reliable and authenticate information towards the
selected topic. By this, researcher can easily take right decision at the end of the
research.
3.4: Data collection methods:
It is crucial procedure that applied by researcher for analysing as well as collecting
valid data from various sources to find appropriate answers towards the research
problem (Ehnert And et. al., 2016). It divided into two categories such as primary and
secondary methods of data collection. In these regards, primary data refers to the
information that collect by researcher rather than after another party initially
Document Page
recorded. Mainly, it obtained directly from the sources that help in collecting
authenticate information towards the selected topic. It included various sources such
as interview, questionnaire, survey and many more. By using this, researcher
understand views and opinion of selected respondents towards the specified topic
and area as well (Isakov and Weisskopf, 2014). On the other side, secondary
method help investigator to gather information from published sources such as
books, journals, articles, newspaper and many more. For undertaking this research,
investigator has use both primary and secondary methods to carried out research
activities in successful manner. As primary methods helped in developing
questionnaire that consider different question asked from selected respondents
whereas secondary method helped in carry out the literature review that includes
views of various witters about the research topic.
3.5: Research sampling
It refers to the process in which sample size are chosen from large number of
population with the aim of gathering opinion of respondents towards the selected
topic. Mainly, it is based on two type such as probability and non-probability sampling
methods. For this investigation, researcher applied random sampling method as it is
an effective technique to select sample size. One of the main advantage of using this
technique is that it provided bias free information towards the research topic and
area as well. Along with this probability sampling methods is also effective for this
research as it supported researcher in selecting the sample size as per random
basis. By using this, investigator selected 50 respondents as a sample size for
undertaking the current research.
3.6: Ethical issues
It is essential for researcher to execute all the activities and task in ethical way while
undertaking the research activities. Mainly, investigator is responsible to ensure that
legitimate consideration of all gatherings required into inquire about work. It is the
duty of researcher to keep certain data private in nature (Akter and et. al., 2016).
Along with this, investigator ensure that the research objectives are accomplished
through direct of examination into thought. Further, investigator should ensure that
the personal interest of related parties is not affected. With the assistance of this
whole research can be successfully completed.
