Dear Professor Davidson,
I am writing this letter, projecting the possibility of joining your research team in
University of Alberta. I have pursued MSc in Statistics from University of Lagos, Nigeria
with CGPA score of 3.52. The thesis paper, which I am working on is “Using Multinomial
Probit Model for analysing the Voters’ Preference.
To brief you, I am well acquainted with the quality management systems at Technologies
Platform Business Resources Ltd. Here, I worked as an intern for almost 4 years. Prior to
this, I also gained BSc degree in statistics from Abia University, Uturu, Nigeria from the
period of 2004-2008. In this, my CGPA score was 4.01. Along with this, I also worked as a
sales representative in American International Insurance Company for 3 years. Here, I
enriched my information about sales, product marketing, business development, marketing
research, data collection among others.
I am competent enough in the entrepreneurial skills, leadership, communication skills,
strategy development and implementation. I can work under pressure without any
supervision. Apart from this, I am well versed with the functions of MS Office, SPSS. One
of the strengths is time management.
I am passionate towards football, reading, current affairs and travelling, which expands the
scope and arena of my knowledge horizons. I can speak English and French.
I would be highly obliged if my application is granted.
