In the current era of globalization, it can be evaluated that motivation is considered as one
of the effective part in employee satisfaction. Therefore, it is essential for businesses to identify
the different ways of encouraging workers by providing them different benefits both in monetary
and non-monetary terms. It is considered as the problem which is faced by business and thus it
needs to be solved by employing effective means. Thus, it can be evaluated that implementing
non-monetary rewards or recognition is proven to be effective as it helps in motivating
workforce to enhance their efficiency and attain organizational goals. However, the negative side
of introducing such non-monetary benefits is that it affects the workers and they became relaxed
which decreases their efficiency. Therefore, it is essential for business to make another crucial
plan in order to cope up with the prevailing situation in business. It is significant for each and
every business either NGO or MNC they need to adopt motivation principles in regard to
encourage workers and improve their performance within firm.
Management of firm needs to identify different types of recognition programs and reward
options that helps in satisfying the needs of workers and enhance the performance of workers.
HR mangers within organization focuses upon identifying the different ways to improve the
operational effectiveness by employing current schemes, develop new ones and enhance the
reward and recognition programs so that effective opportunity is provided to employees to
enhance their efficiency and thus desired targets could be attained effectively and efficiency.
However, applying non-monetary rewards faces serious issue within firm. Employee morale
within firm may decrease due to many reasons such as narrowed focus, unethical behavior,
increased risk taking, decreased cooperation and decreased intrinsic motivation. Thus, all the
issues needs to be overcome and it could be avoided by implementing effective reward and
recognition programs so that desired goals can be attained. Top management of firm needs to
review all such programs and policies in regard to encourage workforce from time to time in
regard to improve business performance.
