Rationale/
Background:
The most prominent issue which is generally being faced by the manager of
Marriott hotel is to identify the way through which motivation of workers can
be enhanced by the firm in an effective manner. This is because, success of
any enterprise largely depends upon its employees only. Workers will be able
to perform well if they feel motivated as well as satisfied from the work which
is being allotted to them.
This is an issue now because at present it is becoming very difficult for the
organization to identify the ways through which performance of employees
can be enhanced (Kanfer, Chen and Pritchard, 2012). Due to this, need of
conducting the present study is being arisen in front of the manager of
enterprise.
In addition to this, study conducted has its importance because with the help
of this it can be assessed by the manager of corporation that whether the
employee's motivation plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of
enterprise or not.

“Motivation is the process of generating enthusiasm among workers which
will enable them with regard to deliver the best services to the enterprise in an
effective way” (Chafetz, Prentkowski and Rao, 2011). In addition to this,
Park and Rainey, (2012) have stated that “Motivation is being regarded as the
process of giving someone a reason of doing something” (Park and Rainey,
2012). In accordance with the given context, it has been seen that success of
any corporation thoroughly depends upon its employees. With the help of the
team of talented workers , firm will be able to carry out its efforts with regard
to increase its sales and profitability in an effectual manner.
However, it is not necessary that by having the team of talented individual
firm can assure its success in the competitive business environment. Here,
effective performance will be carried out by the workers, if they feel highly
