INTRODUCTION
The writing of reflection helps in evaluating things and finding out what went well and not.
Also, it enables in specifying the overall situation in depth manner that how things was done.
With this it is easy to find out that how in future things can be modified. Also, team working
ability is evaluated and analyzed (Heckhausen, Wrosch and Schulz, 2019)
In this report it will be described about a podcast which was made by group of 6 people and how
each one contributed in it. Besides, it will discuss about my topic that is motivation and how it
was applied.
MAIN BODY
We were given a task of making a podcast on topic to address challenge in cross cultural
management. For that we were given various topics to be chosen so that podcast is written.
Thus, we have to do this task in group. In my team there were total 6 person. So, first of we
decided to chose topic of our choice and interest. Then, we decided to do planning of how
the task will be done and who will do what things. So, i took initiative of assigning roles to
each of them. They also agreed with it. In this i analyzed skills and abilities of individual
(Guevara, 2019.). So, on basis of it we all divided our work. Alongside, in a meeting we
discussed how communication will be done. Thus, it gave insight to each one that what
entire process will be. I found that there were many things that went well in group work.
First is all of them effectively communicated with each other. So, there was proper
coordination between us. In that, message was delivered by smart phone. Also, we discussed
issues by communicating. Therefore, it clarified things and in this way issues was solved.
Along with it, we worked in a team. Here, i evaluated that each member contributed their
work. Also, they helped and supported each other in completing tasks. They also respected
other eyhics and values. With this we were able to finish our work in time. Apart from it, as
roles were assigned on basis of their interest so they also performed it properly (Kuvaas,
Buch, and Dysvik, 2020.)
But on contrary, i found that in group there were things which not went well. There was no
schedule made so it did not gave any idea to members that at what date what we have to do.
This created confusion among us that how we have to proceed further. So, we were lacking
in our time management. It highly impacted on our performance. Therefore, in future if we
get similar task we will first of all prepare a schedule and then assign tasks. This is because

activity, etc will be mentioned. However, we will solve issues through a meeting. It will help
in working with time management and ensuring proper coordination within team. It will
enhance our efficiency and productivity by which we will achieve more challenging goals in
effective way ( Karau, and Wilhau, 2020)

to motivate people so that they are able to achieve their goals and objectives. Moreover, i am a
inspiring person who is always ready to encourage others. The purpose of motivation is to allow
people to pit more effort in their work. However, i realized that there are various theories of
motivation which can be applied in it. The use of theories depends on situation and nature of
employees. Likewise, i also applied the theory of Maslow hierarchy need in this podcast. I found
that as there it consists of 5 basic elements which has to be fulfilled (Heckhausen, Wrosch and
Schulz, 2019). I analyzed that psychology needs are basic for every human being as it includes
food, clothes and shelter. They are required for living. Then, comes security needs in which
individual wants safety from theft, security of property, etc they are those needs which are
satisfied in it. However, love need are those that requires friends, family, society. Furthermore,
esteem needs refer to recognition, achievement, etc and at last is self actualization needs. Hence,
in this way people are motivated when each need is fulfilled in effective way. I applied this
theory to inspire people.
Another theory that i applied was of Hertzberg two factor. This is because in my opinion
only one theory is not sufficient enough to be applied. This theory consists of two factor
which motivate people. Here, two factors are hygiene and motivator. I think that these two
has to be present. As motivator are which inspire people and if hygiene are not present it
lead to decrease in motivation. So, recognition, achievement, along with company policy,
work condition, was improved to encourage staff. This was easy for me to evaluate
effectiveness of both theory and apply. However, i analyzed that i was able to inspire people
by fulfilling their needs. So, for it i used Maslow theory, then to increase motivation level i
applied Hertzberg two factor theory. It enabled in encouraging stafd and improving their
performance. They were able to attain goals and also culture issue of motivation was solved.
