INTRODUCTION
The success of the organisation is basically depended upon the motivation and perception of
the employees. It is must for the managers of the companies to ensure that the employees remain
motivated and their perception is positive towards the company and the other employees.
Seimens company is mainly an electrical engineering manufacturing and design business in
London (Siemens UK, 2021). The report will shed light upon the ways in which employees of the
company can be motivated and also its impact on the organisational performance. The role of
perception will also be highlighted along with mentioning its impact on the motivation and the
performance.
Relationship between hot motivation and perception with organisational performance
The motivation and perception plays a major role in the performance of the organisations.
Employees motivation is basically a psychological process which is resulted from the employees
interaction with the environment in which they work which is featured by the employees
willingness for increasing their work effort for achieving specific needs. Motivated employees
contribute towards the highest organisational performance. There are various motivational
theories which help in motivating the employees. Among all, the most prominent one is the
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs which is also implemented by Siemens in UK. This focuses on
fulfilling the various types of needs of the employees such as physiological, love and belonging,
safety, esteem and self-actualization (Pang and Lu, 2018). This can be evaluated that when these
needs of the employees are fulfilled, they feel motivated and perform in the best possible manner
to improve their as well as organisational performance. The major responsibility to motivate the
employees lies in the hand of the Human Resource Managers and the team. The HRM of
Seimens strives hard for implementing various strategies to fulfil the needs of the employees so
that they remain motivated. It is also important for the management to change the perception of
the employees so that the organisational behaviour and perception can be improved. The
employees whose perception is positive towards the company, have greater control towards their
work which can make them motivated for excelling in the organisation (Jacobsen and Jakobsen,
2018). Social perception is the way in which the views of individual affect the overall
organisation. When the employees have positive perception towards the organisation and the
employees, they try to perform the tasks for increasing the organisational performance. On the

other hand, when the wrongful social perceptions are created such as the fundamental attribution
error which basically arises when the characteristics of one employee are mistaken by another
employee because of negative event leads to many problems affecting organisational
performance. When the employee perceives that there are various opportunities of personal or
professional development, then the employees become motivated which helps in completing the
tasks and the works effectively (Miao and et.al., 2019). These also help in increasing the
organisational performance as well as decision making of the organisation.
CONCLUSION
The above report concluded about the ways in which hot motivation and perception are
linked to the organisational performance in Siemens Company. The report also focussed upon
the motivational theories and the way in which perception and motivation of the employees
impact the organisational performance.
