The main rationale behind selecting this topic is my personal interest as I am planning to
make my career in the industry of hospitality. With the help of gathered information through this
research I can recognise such factors those are related with motivating employees so that to
maximise their productivity and performance. The beneficiary within this research is hospitality
and employees as they may get to know about the concept of employee motivation so that
significant contribution can be received by employees which help the business to grow.

and survey of secondary form of data that is vital and essentially needed to set a framework and
base for an investigation. With respect to current investigation a number of online articles and
journals are analysed which are based on the topic of corporate-governance and issue of conflicts
of interest a discussion and evaluation of which is provided as below:

intrinsic and extrinsic form of motivation. Motivated employees acts as an important asset for an

measure and extremely difficult to control, but this can be easily facilitated with the help of

role, as workers are directly associated to consumers. In this with the help of effectively striving
towards enhancing overall level of motivation organisation can successfully accomplish their

2020). It has been identified that there are number of factors of employee motivation which is
existing in organisation. In this Premier Inn have efficient leadership style in which leaders

motivation level and maximize performance towards company. In addition to this positive
company culture is also one of the among factors of employee motivation within an organisation.
It helps organisation to provide a positive culture which helps employees to perform their roles
and responsibilities effectively.

As per the view point of Chen, Siang and Gao, 2021 For the success of an organisation
motivated employees not only contribute in overall mission and objectives of company but also
helps in bringing creativity, reducing cost and solving challenging problems. Motivated
employee find the manner in which employee is committed towards his job and organisation
workplace. Motivated employees perform their roles and responsibilities with more hard work
which enhances overall productivity and performance of company. It has been identified that
employee motivation have direct impact on employee productivity and business performance, as
if an employee is happy at work than it significantly related to work increase in their moral.
Motivated employees also stay focused and work in more productive and efficient manner to
fulfill organisational goals and productivity. It has been identified that it helps in increasing
overall productivity and work quality which helps organisation to reduce cost. It has been
identified that employee motivation also impact organisation in terms of productivity and
motivated and satisfied employees it benefits company in terms of decrease in turnover (Dangol,
2020). In this it is essential for Premier Inn leaders and managers to successfully implement
strategies of motivation with the help of emphasisng upon different theory of motivation such as
Herzberg motivational theory. According to this theory employees feel motivated and satisfied
which offer them meaningful work opportunity for growth and advancement, cooperation and
appreciation and level of control and responsibility of work. Thus, according to the above
mentioned analysis it has been identified that employee motivation have significant impact on
employee productivity and business performance.

As per the view point of Jadhav, 2021 In order to motivate employees there are number of
challenges that can be faced by organisation. All these challenges are required to be overcome in
time effective manner in order to retain talented and skilled workforce for longer period of time
and accomplish organisational objectives with higher efficiency (Lee, Y., 2020). There are
certain challenges that can be faced by Premier Inn hotel in terms of increasing and motivating
employees towards organisational goals. These challenges can be in terms of low self-confidence
and lack of interest. In this if employees show lower level of self-confidence and interest in their
roles and responsibilities then this can create challenge for leaders and managers to motivate
employees in effective manner. In addition to this fear of failure is also one of the major
challenge that hotel can face in the process of motivating employees (Kamou, 2020). Additional
communication inconstantly, changing workforce also affect company leaders and managers to
motivate employees in effective manner.
