This research proposal explores the impact of staff motivation schemes on employee retention at Sainsbury. It aims to understand the concept of staff motivation, its importance, and its effect on employee retention levels within the organization. The study investigates effective strategies that Sainsbury can adopt to address high employee turnover and enhance employee motivation. The research employs a positivism philosophy and a deductive approach, utilizing a survey strategy with quantitative analysis. Primary data is collected through questionnaires from 40 Sainsbury employees, and secondary data is gathered from various sources like websites, articles, and journals. The proposal includes a literature review, methodology, data collection, and analysis plan, culminating in a discussion and conclusion.
