Book Your Movies
Author- Dharma Tejo Vijetha
Abstract
An ideal frame work of the scaling of the characteristics of the movie theatre applications has
been created. The sample has been developed, via many different programming languages and
tools such as advanced JAVA and the Android Development Kits, based on the given
requirements by the clients and the case study of the ideal frame works by the client. The feature
of the application that was created helped in comparison to the equivalent applications by
comparing their characteristics.
Introduction
The essentiality of creating a proper application is increasing with every day passing by. But it
can also not be forgotten that at the same period there is a big scope of rejection of application
even after spending a huge expense on the development of the application. This happens due to
the lack of communication between the application and the mobile in order to complete the
assigned tasks (Punchoojit and Hongwarittorrn, 2017).
Reflection of the Interface Designs
User interface design for the application
Given below are principles on the basis of which the software was developed (Peha, et. al.,
2014).
The Visibility of the Items: The software should keep the user updated in terms of the actions
and functionalities that are being done in the software.
The connection among the real world and the Software: The software should be having the
capability to establish communication between the user and the application itself.
User freedom and User Command: In several scenarios, the users select some random method
of the software which was not supposed to be selected by them and in that case the user may
require an appropriate "emergency exit" which should be mentioned boldly to avoid the
unwanted period and not getting to feel any more damage or consequences.
Standard and Consistencies: The user must not need even think if various phrases, conditions,
or functionalities are not at all different.
Error Preventions: An appropriate care should be taken of the UI that reduces the problems of
arriving in the first place.

Recognize, not recall: Minimize the load of the users by the production of objects, actions, and
the options that are visible.
Flexibility and Efficiency: The accelerators that are not seen by some not so old users may in
some cases provide an increment in the rate in the communicating procedure for the users in a
way that the software can complete the need of the 2.
Aesthetics and Minimalized: The actions must not have the info that isn’t relevant or not very
required.
Error Recoveries: Error impulses should be presented in a not so complex language with no
code, brief explanation of the issues.
Documentations: Even prior to the completion of the process. It known to be a nice option to
have the usage of the software with no documentation, it is done anyway as it is essential.
How my design meets the user’s requirements and enhances their experience.
The given tasks were (Sridevi, 2014):
Staff Member Requirement: There is an option in the application that lets the customer to get
any of the staff members to help them with their queries (Figure 1).
Parking Reservation: Along with the movie tickets, the application has given a facility to the
users to reserve a parking lot of their vehicle (Figure 2).
Benefits to the regular customer: The user has to log in before moving forward with any
booking, this will create a database of which user is regular and which is not, and as per that
information, benefits to regular users would be given (Figure 3).
What factors influenced my design, how they influenced it and why.
The following are some of the major factors that influenced the design of the application ( Yazid,
2017).
Client Requirements: The software was created completely as the client wanted on the basis of
the requirements that were mentioned by them.
Drawbacks: There are very few restrictions that are there in the application, which are also for
the security of the data provided by the user, there were even more initially like making the
software completely dynamic which was at last done successfully.
Designing Principles: The user interface of the software was developed based upon the
heuristics principles.

Business Requirements: The requirement of the software in the various industries was also
predicted during the planning of the application.
Competitors: The characteristics of much different software are also reflected and implemented
in the application, the software is having some feature that is absent in most of the other
applications
Discussion on similar interfaces
2 well-known companies have helped the development of the UI of the software. These
companies were Flicks (Flicks, 2019) and Choovie (Choovie, 2019).

(Source: Choovie, 2019 and Flicks, 2019)
The activities that were related and associated with the information about the movies that were
available at the moment, of the given application was inspired by former eh designs and
activities of Choovie and Flicks. A better feature that was implemented in this application but
was not available in the other 2 was that there was an option for the customer in order to seek
help from any of the staff members regarding any confusion in the premise of the movie theatre.
A feature in which the software was lacking behind was that the other 2 applications were having
navigation drawers that help the user to directly jump from one activity to the other (Figure 4).
Conclusion
The given application "Book Your Movies" is made as convenient for the user as possible. The
main aim of this application is to improve user experience in terms of watching movies. Most of
the issues that are faced by the user are addressed in this application such as, reserving the tickets
for the hall, even reserving the parking slots, notifying a staff member they are if needed.
