ABSTRACT
Mozambique is one of the most popular nation of East Africa and it is known for oil and
gas exploration. There is huge reserves of oil and gas in the nation and it has lots of advantages
for the economy along with some disadvantages. Present research study is carried out on supply
chain management issues that are observed in Mozambique and it is observed that local
government is not taking much interest in oil and gas industry. Its supply lines are not
incorporated at ground level and these are above the land. Due to this reason, land is
contaminated and pollution is increasing in the country. Apart from this reason, number of
people are suffering from relevant diseases. Thus, it can be said that government needs to take
some of the important steps to improve supply chain in country. Maximum oil is supplied
through ships which is transported through water but many times, pirates attack on ships which
cause heavy damage to sea water and people. Hence, present research study reflects that there are
number of areas where East Africa’s government needs to work a lot in order to improve the
condition. There is need to re-analyse the entire supply chain management system. Further, there
is the need to change lines and renovate them so as to ensure that supply chain will improve and
would not cause any harm to people.
