1INDIVIDUAL REFLECTIVE WRITING
The most significant contribution of mine in the entire group project was organizing the
whole group. Firstly, I have understood about their individual expertize and divided specific
parts of the project according to that. It was a great experience to have worked as a team leader
with such cooperative people. The group project has been of great help for me as I have gathered
knowledge of many new aspects. Firstly, I have understood the importance of the key selection
criteria or the KSC. It is nothing but a process of identifying the skills, personal qualities and
knowledge or qualification which a person has to have in order to execute a given role properly
(Galankashi et al. 2015). An applicant cannot be chosen only on the basis of the resume he/she
presents. Key Selection Criteria is highly essential for the business employers because in the
highly competitive market, is becomes essential and equally difficult to find out the perfect talent
and make the best out of them. In order to get a better view of the qualities of the applicants, the
employer needs to extract maximum information from him/her because he ultimate solution
needs to be based on a strong foundation and supporting elements. In order to create an effective
selection criteria, the STAR model is of great use.
Each component of STAR (S.T. A.R) carries a specific connotation and each criteria
helps to evaluate the applicant minutely. The Situation, Task, Action and Result can examine and
help to determine whether the applicant is suitable for the organization or not. On the other hand,
the entire process of receiving and providing peer review feedback has been highly beneficial for
me. I have realized that throughout the entire process of writing, one of the most powerful
element is the peer feedback. I have realized the benefits of peer review feedback. Most
importantly, the peer reviews provide a metacognitive method of learning where both the
teachers and the students are able to deliver and receive feedback (Micoli, Adamo and
Costantino 2018). My teacher has provided me relevant feedback that are extremely useful for
me in the long run. It has supported me to have my voice heard too which has facilitated the
accomplishment of the project successfully engaging most of the students the teachers.
Nevertheless, the project has introduced me with some of the most important concepts of
management such as ethical concerns, communication, group dynamics, problem solving, cross-
cultural issues and many others. As a student, working in a team project, following the rules of
team work and group dynamics is not less than working in a workforce. Similar to diverse
workforce, cross –cultural issues also might occur in a team working on a particular project. The

ethical concerns also have to be followed along with maintaining clear communication among
the group members (Chang, Lee and Yen 2015). It helps to listen and deliver individual opinions,
queries and doubts regarding the topic and can bring in new ideas for the project.
