Introduction
There are different barriers in communication barriers which occurs during transmission of message. due to these barriers it the message content becomes distort and it leads to
ineffective communication. in this study it has been described about various challenges that are been faced by Mr.Fishy. the restaurant consists of 20 staff who are from different
background and culture. due to it, they are not able to effectively communicate with each other’s. The barriers are identified as :
Common challenges as well as barriers in the effective communication
The various barriers and challenges in effective communication are:
Lacking in attention
If the sender is not active and also the receiver is not active, then it can create chaos between them. It can be due to lack in interest or due to distraction.
Accent problem
The accent is also a problem for some people as it differs in British and non British people. thus, they are not able to communicate in proper way.
Perception
it is also a barrier in which people perception differs. here, receiver and sender understanding differs due to their thinking.
Nonverbal communication
Various expressions are used which may be understood by the receiver differently. Non verbal communication are the expression or the gesture communication.
so, the manager of Mr. fishy must avoid all the factors which are hindering to understand the receiver effectively.
Strategies for overcoming barriers in the communication effectiveness.
The following strategies' manager of Mr. Fishy adopt in order to do effective communication:
Use common language
English is an international language and must be used which can easily be understood by the British as well as Non British. This will enable in making Non British feel
comfortable to communicate with others and understand them.
Using an App-
it is a strategy that can be used by restaurant manager to overcome barrier. in this they can communicate through an app which will make it easy for all staff to use it.
Be respectful
Manager must respectful all the staff working in the restaurant. The manager should not ignore the person from another community.
Repetition
The manager must be polite to Non British have not understood the message and must repeat the message so that it is clearly understood to others.
