INTRODUCTION
Communication can be define as the process which includes exchanging of information
from one person to another. It is a UK based company provide fish and chips restaurant in
borough market near London bridge station. Serving best fish and chips holding 20 staff
employed.

Challenges and barriers to effective communication
There are many of the reasons present for where challenges raise for Mr fishy. culture
barriers have been raised in Mr fishy because there are employees who are British and non-
British employees have their conflicts on culture. As Mr fishy have staff of 20 employees
among them some employees are young and some are old so, there is a disputes among them.
As Mr fishy employees have different age group and they all have different- different
perception and expectation towards their goals is barrier for Mr fishy. Non British employees do
not have similar accents or unfamiliar accents which create a barrier in communication, so
language must be the barrier for Mr fishy by employees of Mr fishy employees have conflicts
among their goals and achievement in create conflict barrier. (Holzer, D., 2016)

Devise and develop strategies for overcoming communication barriers
Manger should listen to the employees and will hear all the problems of the employees and this
will help Mr fishy’s manager to understand what is to needed to change and sort out the
complex between employees. Mr fishy is been situated in London so the customers will be
from London so manager should use British employees for the customer handling and could be
well and good in favour of Mr fishy. The organizational structure of Mr fishy should be easy,
simple and not be complex because if manager follow simple organizational structure they will
be efficient and smooth in working. Manger should share information or the order among
employees orally and if there if language barrier so manager could use a different and
symbolic language for the non-British employees, so media selection should be as simple for e.g.

they can use memos, notices on notice board, code for various dishes which they serve in
restaurant. Because they are in restaurant business they have to take care of noise in between
taking orders from customers so there must be the elimination of the noise by identify the source
of noise. Use active listening process where manager should listen carefully of their employees
active listening means understanding the messages from the sender. (Sultana, 2018)

Demonstrate awareness of cultural influences on communication and negotiation.
Mr. fishy have 20 employees among them some are from non-British background so there is
a culture diversification between British employees and with non-British employees. recognition
of culture and understanding the culture diversification may leads them towards an effective
communication and help to deal with negotiation of employees problem, especially with their
background as they run restaurants in London so non British employees may have problem with
their employees and with customer as well. Where effective communication plays a vital role in
managing culture problems. ( Ramshaw, 2017)
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarised that Mr fishy restaurants who serve chips and
fish are facing a problem related to their communication and how they can effectively break the
barriers of communication are in three different stages in main body.
