The MRP record for Product A obtained from given condition is shown above, the projected
were achieved as given in excel sheet. The results shows that, For Part A the projected available
balance is required for next two only which 10 and 7, the three week will be carried on by
planned order received. Planned order started from week third week which has 3 items in first
week after that it is 15 and 15 for next two week. The scheduled receipt as given in question
lasted for one week only.
The MRP record for product F indicates that schedule receipt for material is available on second
week; therefore we have to proceed from projected available balance directly. The Projected
available balance is used for first two week; the planned order release comes as zero because
initial reference cell is having text. the planned order release starts from second week and ends in
third week, because it is its lead time is 2 week. Because there is no safety stock in the item, so
rest of the result is given in the second table of excel sheet.
It is clear that part G is related with Product A and product F both; therefore most of the
calculation comes as keeping both of products in mind, projected available balance for Part G is
stared from 30 in week one and lasted for 5th week of this MRP schedule. Because its quantities
are in the lot of 20, therefore, planned release date started from first week and lasted for third
week. For part G the gross requirement is calculated a two times of part A and one time of part F,
and the result comes as 25, 21, 35, 30 and 0 for 5th week. It is visible that safety stock is
depleting in week 3, therefore, order to overcome this safety stock in week 3 week, order
quantity of 20 units is planned in week 1.
