INTRODUCTION
To maintain the credibility and sustainable growth of an organisation it is essential to
effectively mange all the activities and task conducted within an organisation. Management of a
successful business project and other operation requires an in-depth research and analysis of
various factors of business environment to keep a phase and coordination with on going changes
(Williams, 2016). Management of a business firm is not an easy task and require many efforts to
properly maintain the coordination and a balance among various activities and employees of the
organisation. With the enhancement in the concept of globalisation and rapidly increasing
integration and connection among various countries, economies and cultures is giving birth to a
new concept at workplace i.e. management of equality and diversity (Schönherr and Martinuzzi,
2019). To understand this emerging concept and have better knowledge about its implication and
positive effects on performance and growth of an organisation following report and research is
conducted.
The organisation selected for this research report based on the concept of equality and
diversity is Rolls Royce Motor Cars Ltd. It is a well known British brand involved in
manufacturing of luxury automotive and having its headquarter at Goodwood, England, United
Kingdom. The main points included in this research are associated with project aims and
objectives that also covers the set time frames with the help of WBS and Gantt chart and a
detailed project management plan. Besides this a small size research is also conducted with the
aim of collecting authentic data for making effective recommendation. Along with this refection
on value gained while conducting this project is also provided.

managing equality and diversity at workplace is to eliminate all forms of discrimination and to
put a check and control to overcome the issue of employment disadvantage lead by unequal
opportunity and Biasness in the organisation (Jenner, 2016). An open and inclusive employment
practices and policies is helpful in attracting and retaining the most talented staff from various
groups belong to diverse community and also facilitates appropriate reaction and response
towards the changing needs and aspirations of all employees. Thus, effective management of
equality and diversity lead to creation of a positive, productive and effective internal and external
working environment through providing equal career development opportunities without any
discrimination or Biasness. Thus, many organisation are showing bend and more emphasis
towards developing and creating an effective strategy to build a inclusive a workforce with the
aim of enhancing its development opportunity and competitiveness.

Rolls Royce Motor Cars Ltd is also among those organisation which aim at effectively
managing equality and diversity at its business premises to have better performance and gain
more competitive strength through having inclusive and more creative manpower. Rolls Royce
Motor Cars Ltd is a globally recognised British car manufacturer situated at England and
providing high end luxury cars to a range of elite clients and customers across the world. The
Rolls Royce brand has spread across more than 50 countries of world which includes many
locations of UK, US, Middle East, China, Australia, etc. thus, it is having employees that belongs
to diverse nation and culture (Bueno and Gallego, 2017). Beside this, it being an automotive
organisation a male dominance is also seen at workplace of Rolls Royce Motor Cars Ltd which is
giving raise to the issue of discrimination and other biased activities. Therefore, it become
essential for Rolls Royce Motor Cars Ltd to have some effective strategy to built a coordination
and balance among needs and desires of theses employees belonging to various culture and
dimensions. Thus, the following research is conducted on Rolls Royce Motor Cars Ltd with
below stated aims and objectives.

The motto or aim behind conducting this investigation on Rolls Royce Motor is, “ To
determine the various strategies that can be constructed by an organisation to effectively
manage equality and diversity to build a more inclusive workforce.”

The targets and objectives behind this research and investigation made on Rolls Royce
Motor Cars Ltd are as follows:
To study and evaluate the prevailing idea of Equality and diversity.
To diagnose the various strategies and initiatives that can be designed, constructed and
execute by an organisation to build and create an inclusive and diverse manpower
(Bentahar, Benzidia and Fabbri, 2016). To evaluate the positive implication and outcomes of diverse and inclusive workforce
created through management of equality and diversity within the business premises of
Rolls Royce Motor Cars Ltd.

(Voigt, Buliga, and Michl, 2017). Following are the important components of project
management plan that are described below with respect to the planning made by the researcher
for conducting this investigation on topic of Equality and diversity on Rolls Royce Motor Cars
Ltd:
Cost: This element of project management plan is associated with the planning of all
expanses that are to be made on various activities for accomplishment of a project in an effective
manner (Brandon and Guimaraes, 2016). It basically includes all possible expanses and cost
incurred on procurement of various resources, conducting market analysis and for other tasks

analysis of data, 23 days for making conclusion and recommendations and finally in last 3 days
the finally submission of report is expected to be made.

adverse situation that involves exposures to some danger, harm or expected losses. While
conducting this research the expected risk are mainly associated with maintenance the efficiency

made where data and information is clearly presented inn form of Pie charts to provide a better

Resource: A project can not be completed without some assets and resources which are
necessary to meet the objectives and aims of any research. For current research also, use of many
resources and assets are made which includes human resources i.e. the team member who are
having the responsibility to collect and properly analysis the findings and also the employees and
other associated party of Rolls Royce Motor (Kris Bailey MLT, 2016). Beside this, use of
technological and statistical resources are also made which includes preparation of Gantt chart
and WBS structure. Along with this, financial resources are also required to meet the various
expenses made during the investigation.
Scope: This concept is mainly associated with the relevance and importance of a research
in achieving the objectives and accomplishing the work that must be deliver by the project. The
scope of this research includes the developing effective knowledge and understanding about the
concept of equality and diversity which is expected to be meet on time with this research

tools are made to have a better perception about the usefulness of inclusive and diverse
workforce. Beside this, this research will also enhance the and support the learning and
performance of researcher through leading better communication and investigation skills thus,
having a wider future scope through meeting the objectives of both organisation and researcher.
P3) Gantt chart and WBS
The two essential and crucial project management tool used for achieving objectives of
this research within prescribed time-frames are provided below:
Gantt chart
It is mainly a graphical or diagrammatic demonstration of various activities of associated
with a research. Project management tool is made for creating a clarity and transparency in
working of project as it provide information about star and end date of all task and activity thus,
reduce the chances of loophole and duplication of work. Use of Gantt char also lead to reduction
in wastage of both resources and time through providing information about various stages and
time taken by ever task necessary for completion of a project (Oakes, 2016).

Work breakdown structure:
It is basically a structure that provided proper bifurcation of work into various heads and
team thus, prompt and provides an effective way to achieve the targets. The main aim of
preparation WBS structure for this project is assigning the duties and clearly divides the
responsibility among various teams to ensure the timely completion of each task. This also
provides a clarity in minds of team members regarding their roles thus, reduce the chances of
overllaping of work and activities (Ashlock and Brantley, 2018).

P4) Small scale research
For conduction an effective research use of research mythology is made as it facilitates
various ways and method for acquiring data and also helps in effective presentation and
communication of research findings. Following are the two main methods of research
mythology:
Qualitative method- This method is mainly associated with collection of in-sight
information about the attitude, belief and behaviour of respondents thus, the data collected is in
theoretical form which is hard to present in terms of tables or graphs (Wise, 2016).
Quantitative method- Use of this method facilitates effective presentation of findings as
the data collected is in forms of numbers and frequencies that can be easily presented as charts
and graphs and provide a brief perception about thinking of respondents.
For current research use of both qualitative and quantitative research method is made as
qualitative method provides in-depth information about opinion of respondents where as
quantitative facilitates better way for presentation of findings. For that, purpose use of a
questionnaire is made which is having 8 quantitative (close ended) questions together with 5
qualitative (open ended questions).

The two main sources of data which are as follows;
Primary sources- It
provide first hand and authentic information that is considered up to date and most authentic
source of data. Huge personal efforts are required to collet data from primary source which
includes use of questionnaire, interview, surveys, etc.
Secondary source- This sources provided the recorded or information about some past
facts and figures that can be easily collected by researcher from any book, journal, newspaper
articles, magazines and from other online sites (Jones and Jenkins, 2018).
For this research use of questionnaire is made to gather data from primary sources as it
yield most authentic and trustworthy information. Beside this, use of various online websites are
also made to collected information from secondary source to support the primary findings.
Sampling method- It is technique used by most of researcher to accomplish investigation
and analysis of facts on time through selecting a fixed number of observations and units from
total population (Basu, 2016). For current research project use of random sampling method is
made as it provide a most suitable way to eliminate the chances of biasness in research process.
A sample of 30 respondents from all the stakeholders, directors, customers, employees, mangers,
etc. are selected to evaluate their opinion ion current topic i.e. “Equality and diversity.”
Questionnaire- It is basically a written document that contain a set of questions(both quantitative
and qualitative) and facilitates gathering and collection of respondents and individuals on a
particular topic. Following questionnaire is prepared for this research which contain a set of 13
questions out of which 8 are quantitative (close ended) questions together with 5 qualitative
(open ended questions).
