Specific Area of Academic Interest and Motivation to choose this Area
The specific area of my academic interest is Computer Science. In this era of IT technology,
study about the computer science is mandatory to obtain the fundamental knowledge about new
and innovative technologies that can help an individual to manage its business related and other
mundane tasks. I have already completed my graduation in computer engineering and now I
want to pursue further for masters in computer science. A degree of post-graduation in Computer
Science will help me to obtain advanced information regarding this field of education, its
application areas and its usage for business and other purposes. This whole information is useful
for me to continue my job as a database manager.
How past education, professional and other experiences are helpful to be successful in
graduation?
My past education is in computer engineering. It is a field that consolidate many fields of the
electrical engineering and computer science for the development of computer hardware and
software. There are some key technical areas that are covered by the computer engineering and
those areas are machine intellect, computer software, networking, cyber-security and fixed
systems. Computer science program not only dispenses knowledge regarding these fields of
computer engineering but also provides deep information about more advanced technologies
such as artificial intelligence (AI), 4G techniques, wireless technologies etc. From my previous
professional program, I am cleared with the basic information about the software program but to
get more appropriate knowledge I need to do computer science. Therefore, with some basic
information it will be easier for me to understand advanced concepts of computer science. It is
basically a study of computers and computational systems. Moreover, it also includes

information about the theory, design, development and application of software and software
systems.
Describe what you hope to achieve in this graduate program
After completing the program of computer science, I will have two degrees, one is of computer
engineering and other will be of computer science. Therefore, I really think that it is a good
combination and covers most of the general and advanced areas of computer science. I hope that
after doing masters in computer science I can learn basic level programming and can understand
that how different computer applications are developed and used. Being a database manager, it is
mandatory for me to collect knowledge about the database development and its management.
Moreover, by studying computer science I can know about the security maintenance of database
and system as well that resides the database. Furthermore, computer science program will also
help me to understand and maintain the network security which is crucial for every user to get
prevention from hacking and phishing attacks. In database management, these attacks also put
influence on the database and violate the whole information which is stored in it. In this way,
with the help of computer science I can learn many essential things about computer software and
its security.
How this program will help me to achieve my long term aspirations?
By getting knowledge in the field of computer science, I can join a multi-national company
easily to get better job and other career opportunities. It is my long term aspiration and to achieve
it I have to get appropriate knowledge about computer science. Moreover, masters’ degree in an
IT field is one of the positive points of an employee’s profile. So I want to pursue this program.
Moreover, I can get the post of Database Administrator due to my good skills in database
management and handling its different operations such as creation of database user, its deletion,

management of users’ permissions and several other important tasks. Additionally, I can work
with various new web and desktop applications properly and it is essential to complete tasks
quickly and accurately. In this way, to achieve my long term goals, computer science program
can help me so much.
To sum up, it can be said that nowadays, computer science study is the main step to get into IT
field and to get best job. I have keen interest in this technological field so I want to make my
future career in it. Today, everything is approachable with the help of computers.
Communication, sharing of information and products and other business and personal activities
can be done with computers, internet and other advanced technology. So, it is right to say that
nexus between a computer and an individual is getting closure day by day and people are getting
successful results with the usage of computers and its other applications. That is why, I am
agreed to apply for masters in computer applications.
