INTRODUCTION
Digital disruption refers to the change that occur when the advanced digital technology and
business models leads to impact the value proposition of the current products and services. It also
depict the fast growth for the effective use of mobile devices for the personal use that leads to
enhance the potential for digital interference across various sectors. In order to carry forward this
report, Asda is considered which is the British supermarket store headquarter in Leeds, England
and founded in 1949 as the retail business is concerned with the Associated Diaries Company of
Yorkshire. The report tends to cover digital transformation which is done by company itself,
capture suitable insights for its competitors, external environment trends and suitable approaches
which are used by company in making fast decisions. Furthermore, it also discuss regarding the
techniques to acquire talent, collaborate suitable tools, develop digital ready culture and
behaviour of leaders (Kane and et .al, 2019).

application services for Asda so that their product delivery services are to be done successful for
this they adopts the use of new DevOps Delivery model. It is useful for the development of full
life cycle of products and services by proper testing and support (Card and Nelson, 2019) .
This digital transformation helps in adopting the agile approach related to testing and
development within the groceries retail market. Organisation is planning to adopts the use of
technologies for operating the business activities successfully. In this Asda can adopts the use of
HCL technologies that are useful to improving the insights and analytical techniques by properly

testing and monitor the data that helps the customers to get the satisfied products. With the use of
HCL model, firm introduced DeVops delivery model that are effective for responding faster
related to needs of markets by experiencing it effectively.
Apart from several benefits of adopting the digital technologies some disadvantages are
also faced by the organisation. To achieve the objective of high customer satisfaction, Asda
needs to hire new software engineering expertise that includes high cost and time. Adopting this
change as digital transformation does not reflect any security because this application highly
focus on speed rather then security because of this providing services to customers related to
transportation of groceries is unsecured. Due to this customer satisfaction is to be affected that
will impacted the profitability of company (Kane, 2019) (Kim, 2019) .
Within this organisation will face threats related to not effectively satisfied the customers
level of expectation. In this Asda was unable to fulfil the needs of consumers in appropriate
manner. To overcome this threats company can highly focus on hiring the software expert for the
change related to digital technology. It is very essential to developed the positive image within
marketplace.
TASK 2 – Capture Insights
It is very significant to examine the customer insights by acknowledging their needs,
preferences and wants for effectively understand the behaviour of humans for supporting the
company production related to goods and services so that successful results are to be attained. It
includes several insights that are used by organisations are shown below:
Google analytical- This term is generally adopted by companies to examine the traffic in
organisation and checking their overall performance within social media platform and several
other blogs and web pages. This represents the several visitors that are visiting the page and
spend their time on website. It represent the clear picture of business enterprise so that Asda can
make their strategies to developed their overall position and performance (Heinemann, Platzen
