What springs to mind when hear the word “Multiculturalism”
Multiculturalism is based on the co-existence of diverse cultures, where includes religious, racial
and manifested in customary behaviours. It is totally depend upon the assumptions, value, pattern
of thinking and other communicative styles (Goodman and Alarian, 2019). When springs to
mind when hear about the Multiculturalism that can relate to the diversity. In order to recognize
the individual differences among people in UK. For Example- British music is basically
combined and influences from all over the world.
What are good things about multiculturalism?
Multiculturalism seeks the inclusion of opinion, views and contribution of diverse members of
community and society while maintaining the mutual respect for their differences, withholding
demand for their assimilation into environment or culture. The good things about the
multiculturalism such as developing an open mind, building empathy in classroom and becoming
a great communicator.
Is It possible for UK to avoid Multiculturalism today?
No, it is possible to avoid Multiculturalism in today scenario, there are various type of ethnic
minorities people living in UK, which means that British as representing multicultural identity
among some people. Through Multiculturalism, it has been increased critical situation of people
regarding festivals, custom, food and religions are totally different (Ojo, 2019). That’s why, it is
not possible to avoid those people, who are belong to another culture. Most of individual people
shift in UK from other countries so that they have considered their own custom. In this way, it is
important for giving the equal right for every people.
