INTRODUCTION
Management is the activity involved in general function such as planning, leading,
organizing and coordinating. All these functions are highly integrated and work ad major
pillars for the organization in growth and development. The management activity will
help the organization in bringing out the functions in a regular and relevant manner that
benefits the organization in managing the activities for productivity and progress (Ansoff
et al., 2018). The research will help in carrying out the information regarding the impact
of multinational companies on the business environment of the host destination. The
research also benefits in understanding the concept of globalization, business
environment and impact of the business environment.

“The impact of the multinational organization on the business environment of
host destinations”
Aim
Globalization has a significant effect on the local communities, workers and
organizations. Some of them get a positive advantage whereas some of them need to
face obstacles in business. The research is directed to analyze and evaluate the
influence of multinational organizations on the business environment of the local
communities, companies and destinations (Chumakov et al., 2017).
Objectives
The objectives proposed in the research will benefit in understanding the concept and
carrying out the aim in a relevant manner (Burch et al., 2016). The objectives for the
research related to the impact on the business environment is as follows-
 To access the impact of multinational organizations on business environment
of the host destination.
 To analyze the influence of globalization on the local bodies of the destination.
 To access the ways that will benefit in reducing the negative impact of the
multinational organization on the business environment of local communities,
organizations and host destinations.
Introduction
Macdonald's is one of the biggest food chains in the world in regards to revenue. The
company is developed in the year 1940 to provide readymade food to the peoples.
Being one of the biggest food chains in the world the company has a huge impact on
the business environment of different organizations and countries (MacDonald’s, 2019).
The Ledbury is a famous restaurant in the UK and wants to open a new restaurant in
another location for making the food available for all. Before setup of the restaurant, the
company wants to analyze and examine the impact of Macdonald on the company profit
and performance and for that the research is conducted for carrying out the impact of

multinational companies on the business environment of the destination (The Ledbury,
2019).
The rationale for the research
Globalization is the present world is a basic need for corporations to gain profit and
success. The reason behind choosing the research is carrying out the impact of
multinational companies on small corporations, communities and destination places.
The setup of new companies in the global world get impacted and affected by the
competitors and expert organization positively and negatively. The research contributes
to gathering the impact and influence of the impact on business and environment. The
other reason to carry out the research is finding new ways to set up and develop a
profitable and successful business with the help of suitable methods and approaches.
The investigation also helps in understanding the business environment and its impact
on business, and the strength and weakness of the competitors which is significant for
taking the business in frontward track for progress (Steger, 2017).

Cost
Cost relates to the overall investment and capital needed for the completion and
development of business. The Ledbury wants to open a new restaurant at a new place
and for that, the company has to analyze the budget and ensure to complete the project
plan within budget. Also, the organization needs to set the cost reasonable to the
customers that contribute to business profit (Cleden, 2017).
Scope
The competition in the food world is very high in the order of tasty and quality. The
Ledbury has a chance to enhance and improve the business in the food industry with
the help of improvisation in the quality of food and spreading the business to different
areas of the world. The evaluation of the business environment will help the
organization in carrying out scope and opportunities (Cleden, 2017).
Time
The completion of the project plan required some amount of time that helps in carrying
out the plan is beneficial and developed manner. The Ledbury restaurant needs to
make a schedule for the operation that will help in obtaining the work as per schedule
and help in competing with other companies such as MacDonald’s (Christensen et al.,
2017).
Quality
Quality of food and services plays a significant role in the progress of the business of
restaurants and thus The Ledbury restaurant needs to maintain the quality of food and
has to improve the quality in comparison to MacDonald’s for the business growth and
progress (Christensen et al., 2017).

Communication
Communication and interaction within the organization and with the outside worlds are
important for understanding the new trends and demands of customers. The internal
communication will benefit the Ledbury restaurant in carrying out each operation in an
efficient manner. The communication also helps in determining and evaluating the
business environment for development and growth (Christensen et al., 2017).
Risk
One of the major risks for the Ledbury restaurant in the setup of the restaurant at the
new location is huge competitors such as MacDonald’s, failures of business due to
demands and interest of customers, financial crises and inaccurate planning. The
Ledbury needs to take the risk in an analyzed and relevant manner for business growth
(Newton, 2016).
Resources
Resources are the capital required for setup, development and running of the
organization in a scheduled manner. The Ledbury needs to analyze and fulfil the
requirements of resources for the development and growth of business in a relevant
manner. The resources include raw material for food production, storage, labour,
infrastructure, capital and sitting arrangements (Newton, 2016).

Work breakdown structure is a project management tool designed to categories the
large components into smaller ones for the effective and relevant working of operations.
The tool will benefit the Ledbury restaurant in scheduling the foundation for cost,
information and operations (Robinson et al., 2018). The steps included in the Work
Breakdown Structure is as follows-

Step 1
The gathering of the team and various stakeholders for the designing and development
of Work breakdown structure is the initial stage in work breakdown operation. The
gathering of the team will help in making a perfect and effective structure with several
ideas and opinions carried out through team and stakeholders (Robinson et al., 2018).
Step 2
Stage two includes the analysis and investigation of components, aims, objectives and
resources for the designing and development of work breakdown structure. The stage

will benefit the team in understanding the resources and capital available for the
completion of a task based on which further operation is carried out (Robinson et al.,
2018).
Step 3
The breakdown of the operation into small tasks is carried out in this stage for further
production and progress. In the case of the restaurant, the breakdown is based on food
preparation, serving, catering, entertainment, cleanliness and other services (Siami-
Irdemoosa et al., 2015).
Step 4
After the preparation of the work breakdown structure, the next task is the allocation of
time and team to complete the operation as per schedule. Sufficient time and skilled
members need to be allotting for obtaining relevant results and objectives (Siami-
Irdemoosa et al., 2015).
Step 5
The evaluation of the work breaks down structure before the implementation is
necessary to reduce the risk and enhance the chances for progress and profit. The
stage helps in examining each step and activity for Carrying out the operation ineffective
way (Siami-Irdemoosa et al., 2015).

The action plan is the scheduling of the operation and activities of the organization to
make the work effective and profitable. The Action plan will help Ledbury restaurant in
implementing and executing the activities systematically for the setup of new restaurant
and for analyzing the impact of multinational companies such as MacDonald’s on the
business environment of the host destination. The action plan for Ledbury includes time
frame, operations and work progress (Barata and da Cunha, 2018).

For the achievement of aims and objectives, the development and designing of an
action plan and implementation in a systematic manner is significant. The action plan
for Ledbury restaurant includes five major stages that will help in the achievement of
objectives in a significant manner. The selection of aims and objectives will take the
time of 1 week which is important for the completion of research in a relevant manner.
The evaluation and analysis of aims and objectives for further progress require the time
of 2 weeks in completion in a systematic way. Gathering of information and data is one
of the most significant stages of research and thus needs to be carrying out effectively
with the help of proper procedure and operations. The gathering of data and information
will require the time of 2 weeks in completion. The next stage is the investigation and
valuation of data and information gathered through different approaches with the help of
the relevant method. The completion of the overall procedure and declaration of the
result will need to time of 8 weeks (Barata and da Cunha, 2018).

CONCLUSION
Scheduling and proper planning of the operations and activities are required for the
growth and success of the business. The research is conducted to achieve the aims
and objectives related to the impact of multinational companies on the business
environment of the host destination and the business of organizations and social
communities. The Ledbury is a famous restaurant in the UK and wants to set up a
restaurant at a new place for business progress. The action plan, project plan and work
break down structure will help the organization in analyzing the business environment,
impact of globalization and ways to improve the business.
