P2. Developing the management plan for the appropriate project.
Every business organisation is required to have certain set of plans through which the
organisation can operate and function effectively and efficiently (Mattel, 2015). The project
management plan is required to form and highlight the basic requirements of the project which
are crucial for the attainment of objectives and goals of the Nestle. These plans are written in a
formal and authorised document where in the researcher places emphasis on key constituents that
plays a vital role in the successful completion of the research. There are various constituents
which are to be taken into consideration for developing a successful project management plan
and they are discussed below:
Cost: The term cost means that the total amount which is required for completing the
research and project successfully (Larson and Gray, 2017). No business research or plan
can be taken into action without the appropriate amount of funds because each and every
activity needs money. Therefore, the cost required to complete the project by the
organisation is estimated at £10000. Apart from this, the investigator will also require

money to meet the daily expenses like stationary, travelling, etc. and it is computed at
£2000.
Scope: The scope of the business plan is concerned with combination of different goals
and various necessities for completing the project (Kerzner, 2017). Thus, the scope of the
project management plan for Nestle is required to have proper planning and the
availability of various resources so that the different activities can be accomplished in the
desired and set manner.
Time: The time is referred to as the total computed time frame which is required to
complete the project. It is one of the most crucial elements because every project is set
for temporary duration and specific purpose. When that purpose is fulfilled then the
project is said to be completed. Therefore, the approximated time needs to complete the
project by the Nestle is 12 weeks whereas, the total time needed by the investigator to
accomplish the research is computed at 8 weeks.
Quality: The quality is referred to as the standard or superiority of gathered subject
matter. It is very important that the collected information and data must be of proper
quality so that proper results can be framed and analysed. The gathered information must
be authentic, relevant, verifiable, justifiable that helps in completing the research
effectively.
Communication: The term communication is concerned with the the mode through
which the proper communication can be done (Fleming and Koppelman, 2016). It is
crucial for the Nestle so that people will be clear of the organisational goals and the
manner to attain the same. Therefore, the different communication tools which will be
used by the Nestle includes presentations, seminars, meetings, etc. whereas investigator
will need tools and methods for communication like telephone connection, broadband
and internet services, etc.
Risk: The term risk is the most unforeseen factor which can affect the business enterprise
adversely. There are different types of risk which must be identified and analysed by the
Nestle for better operation of the company. Therefore, the risk which will be faced by the
Nestle involves lack of privacy, confidentiality of data, hacking, etc. whereas, the risk
which will be faced by the researcher involves the unfair transmission of information,
poor communication skills, etc.

Resources: For every project, numerous resources are needed so that the project can be
completed effectively and efficiently (Eskerod and Jepsen, 2016). For completing this
investigation, the Nestle will need resources like expert and qualified workforce,
financial resources, etc. whereas, investigator will need resources like money for meeting
every day expenses, effective research and communication skills, knowledge, etc.
From the above mentioned numerous constituents, the project management plan can be
set effectively and efficiently. The success of the project is entirely dependent on such factors
because they provide the base and guideline for the initiation of the project.
P3. Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart
Work break down structure: The concept of work break down structure is concerned
with the hierarchical structure in which the larger task or work is broken down into small parts.
When the work is divided into small portions then it becomes easy and simpler to assign work to
the people according to their skills and capabilities (Ekwoaba, Ikeije and Ufoma, 2015). This
will be adopted by the Nestle so that the company can decide upon proper allocation of budgets
for the different tasks. This further helps in easy identification of various types of risk which are
associated with the projects.

Gantt chart: This is concept which is generally used in the project management plans. It
helps in assigning the relative time for completing the various activities of the projects in time.
This is basically the graphical representation by considering the time scale where the left corner
of the chart displays the different activities (Dipboye, 2017). This will be used so that the
company can monitor and track the different activities of the project effectively and efficiently.
This is created on Microsoft excel and by following this, the project will be completed on time
schedule.

P4. Investigation by considering different method of research
Qualitative research: The qualitative research is the one where in the investigator uses
the behavioural aspect for conducting the investigation successfully. When an investigator
applies this methods, then they will be able to gain a learning related to the different opinion,
judgements, thoughts, etc. of the individuals. The following techniques through which qualitative
research can be conducted includes, questionnaire, survey, focus groups, observations, etc.
Quantitative research: The quantitative research is the one which involves the
numerical data and statistics for presenting the appropriate findings and results (Crawford,
2014). The information which is assembled under this is expressed in forms of numbers and the
interpretation is based on the numerical figures. This is the more verifiable and justifiable tool
for collecting the data. Under this, the researcher will gather the data from annual reports,
journals, etc.
Sources of data collection methods
Primary data collection method: When the information or data is gathered and
assembled for the first time by the investigator then this is concerned with the primary
data collection method. In this the researcher will use questionnaire, survey, etc.
Secondary data collection method: When the data or information is required to be
collected and gathered with the help of secondary sources or which has already been
collected before, then such data is said to be collection method is called secondary
(Bernard, 2017). In this, the investigator uses the information derived from journals,
magazines, newspapers, internet, etc.
