1 INTRODUCTION
EdMedia International Pty Ltd (EdMI) education facilities offering company is willing to
offer high quality education videos to the learners. The company offers their services
throughout Australia but due to internet traffic and some technical lag the company is willing
to establish a client application based on pilot program or pilot system. The technical
architecture or the Edustream System that EdMedia International Pty Ltd (EdMI) will
develop is comprises of web server, open connect appliance, client database and a game
server. It has been assumed that the pilot nodes for the three tier architecture are located
inPerth, Sydney and Brisbane. The purpose of the project is to implement the pilot 1 solution
in Perth. Before final implementation the system will be tested and after that the second pilot
system will be introduced. The detail roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders, WBS and
the deliverables and project scope statement are elaborate in this paper.
2 PROJECT DELIVERABLES AND SCOPE
Project deliverable
The purpose of the project is to implement pilot system in the three different nodes of the
client application architecture. This implementation will initiates with Perth and then in
Brisbane and Sydney. The Edustream system that will be developed for EdMedia
International Pty Ltd (EdMI) will give high security to the server where client’s information
will be stored. Only authorized users will be able to access information from the server.
Successful development of the system will give CDN nodes, client database, open connect
appliances, system health management and a game server. In order to establish the game
server rack mounted hardware will be required. The developers will be able to track the
monitoring and maintenance approaches of the system.
Project scope
To implement a pilot system in one of the three tier nodes among Brisbane, Perth and
Sydney
To make sure that each node of the pilot system will contain the details elements of
the Edustream system, technical overview of the architecture, client database, a detail
synopsis, video streaming devices and game server and a health management system
To make sure that the server will prevent unauthorized data access from the server
To improve the client application by developing multiple platforms and backward
abilities
To identify issues of service desk, training and marketing details
