2MUSIC AS A CULTURE
Question 1
Ans: I always had loved music since the first time I got to hear a piece of music myself.
Since then, it has been my passion to be a good musician someday. I had informed my
parents about my interests regarding music itself.
If I would name the person who have thoroughly supported me in my journey of
becoming a musician, it would be my parents themselves. My parents had fully supported me
in my endeavours at learning music. It is because of them that I was able to get admitted to a
well-known music and hence, my musical journey is said to have started from that time
period. Whatever music I had learned, I had learnt it from the musical school itself.
Thus. I can say I would like to thank my parents for listening to me about my interests
and getting me admitted into a well-known music school so that I can fulfil my own dreams
and interests and become a musician someday just like I am one now.
Question 2
Ans: I would like to say that I have always been a fan of heavy metal genre of music. This
is mainly because of the fact that it is one of the oldest known of the genres and it is also
considered to be a form of art (Bayer, 2013). In this regard I should also mention that my all
–time favourite in this regard would be Iron Maiden.

3MUSIC AS A CULTURE
The fact that heavy metal genre of music is a form of art can be emphasized by the
designs on the albums of Iron Maiden, the credit of which goes to one and only Eddie
Hijinks. Moreover, the graphics used in the songs of Iron Maiden are also another reason why
I love the heavy metal genre so much.
I have already mentioned about my favourite genre and band name. I like Iron Maiden
because Steve Harris and his team puts a different kind of energy and passion in to every
song they song they sing which I like best about the band itself. I do not have any particular
favourite song but the one I like most is called “Flight of Icarus”. This is because it gives the
feel of a heavy mid-tempo rocker music which feels beautiful to hear in the voice of Bruce
Dickinson himself. This was also the song which helped Iron Maiden to gain a much wider
audience for themselves.

Question 3
Ans: If there is one thing about the music of today which I could change for myself, it
would be the number of remixes and remakes that are happening in the music world. This is
because I feel that people should bring their own forms of music within them rather than
making remakes of older songs.
This is the thing that I would like to change in the world of music today.
