Education in simple words is a process through which knowledge of knowledge is done,
instructions are given, experience is shared and skills or habits are taught to others especially at
school and university level (Noddings, 2018). Education is one of the most important part in
every individual's life. If a good education is provided to a person then it can help them to
develop socially, personally as well as economically. It helps an individual to perform their
duties in a better way whether at work place or at hole or with others. It is one of the most
important source of development and information which helps a person to acquire knowledge,
new required skills etc. I personally feel that education helps a person to analyse any kind of
situation and take required decisions in life. In my opinion, education is one of the most powerful
way which can help in removing unemployment, corruption as well as can also help in removing
all kinds of environmental problems. Education is important especially for students so that they
can become something in life or can peruse their dreams with creativity and required knowledge.
In this essay Philosophies of the education will be discussed in brief.
Education system in Malaysia is divided into five levels which are preschool education,
primary school education, secondary, post-secondary and lastly tertiary education. After tertiary
education further public or private education comes into picture (Wain, 2016). All the
Malaysians in Malaysia are provided with free six years of primary level of education and five
years of secondary level of education where students are taught for free by the government. After
the secondary education is completed students give their public common examination for post-
secondary education. According to me, it is one of the best thing that is done by the Malaysian
government by providing free education for 11 years to each and every student. This also
inspires other students to peruse their further education after secondary level as it requires good
grades and proper funding. This also helps the schools and universities to maintain their quality
of education. Due to this Malaysian education system has been ranked as 11th most popular
destination to peruse higher level education especially at tertiary level. Top rankers at all the
level of education are given the scholarships in order to peruse their further education. Age group
of students at all the level of education are fixed i.e. all the students need to complete their
education at the particular level within the specified age group. According to the government
regulations and law primary level of education is compulsory for all the students in kind of
manner i.e. whether in home schooling manner, private or public schooling manner (Mead,
Biesta and Trohler, 2015).

At personal level I am a study oriented person who's first priority is studies. I have
always focused on may studies in order to get good grades and scholarship for higher education.
Other than scholarships many other kinds of financial helps are given to students for higher
studies such as student loans, NGOs that helps in funding higher education for the students.
Scholarships can be provided to students either by government organizations, higher education
system etc. I personally feel that the educational structure of Malaysia is good and efficient
enough which helps the students to peruse their education in order to become something and
learn different things. My personal experience says that this structure does not only help the
students but it also helps their families so that they can financially fund their children. This also
helps in increasing the overall literacy rate of Malaysia as all the individuals are at least educated
till the secondary level of education. Not only all the localities are provided with the education
but all the other individuals who are settled in Malaysia are provided with the education (Kleinig,
2016).
The education system is designed in such a way that it helps an individual in learning
basic life lessons which helps a person in future in many ways. It helps a person to improve their
soft skills like communication, presentation etc. which helps an individual both personally and
professionally. As per my learning education system's main goals is to provide knowledge to all
the individuals. It can be given in various ways, forms and methods. Education consists of
values, upbringings, learn ethics with the help of various educational practises. It also helps a
person in learning ways in which a persons works, learns and behave in their lives. This
education system has helped me to learn moral and civic values, various kinds of technologies
and ways to apply it, human behaviour, norms of the society, different social conditions etc.
Philosophy of education not only focuses on the students and the things they learn or the way
they learn but it also focuses on the way things are taught to individuals in different ways
(Goodin and Pettit, 2019). It is important to know the way things are taught and learned as it
helps in reducing misconceptions, misunderstandings etc. and also helps in moral development
and character formation of an individual.
However according to me there are many more things that should be improved in order to
improve the education system i.e. school relationship which includes relationship between
teachers and students as well as relationship between students themselves. This helps in
improving the educational quality as well as also helps in maintaining the overall morals, values

and ethics of the school as well as in students and teachers (Mukherjee, 2016). If the student
teacher relationship is effective and efficient enough with proper communication then it will help
in reducing the misunderstandings, misconceptions and learn basic ethics and values in a better
ways such that an individual can learn all the required things which will help them in future in
life or work and will also help them in taking important required decisions in life or at work. It
also helps in physical, mental and academic development of an individual. Positive relationship
helps both teachers and students to feel more safe and comfortable within their educational
environment. These kinds of relationship can be improved by taking continuous feedbacks from
individuals, create future opportunities, makes an individual focus more on education than
anything else (Knight, 2016).
In my opinion personally this complete education system of Malaysia is quite effective
and efficient. This free primary and five years secondary education where primary education of
students is compulsory has helped in improving the literacy rate of the country, makes an
individual more comfortable and responsible. Free and compulsory education create more
opportunities for students in order to do something in their future. From the above discussion it
can be said that the education system of Malaysia is good and efficient as its main aim is to focus
is to provide education to everyone so that each one can get education which will help them to
learn moral, ethics, values of the society, can develop and improve their soft skills which are
required and important in the future both professionally and personally. Government has also
taken initiatives to improve the scope of higher education for individuals by providing them with
scholarships, student loans. Many governments or private organizations has also helped in
providing funds or scholarships to students for education. Many government educational
agencies have been established which helps in maintaining the minimum educational standards
by all kinds of colleges, schools and universities.
