Introduction
Here, the report is designed on My Health Record project which is introduced by the Australia
government. It is a safe and secure online project that record a summary of specific health
information. Health information is collected from the current chronicles which are available at
the local clinical systems. This system will help the health industry to eliminate the issue which
occurs due to lack of patients’ health information. It will also reduce the cost of hospital service.
The user will be registered for the project. The user can control their information and access the
information. User healthcare information will be shared with doctors, hospitals, public and
private clinics, and healthcare providers. As System Analyst, I create a vision document for my
Health Record which is helpful in funding for the project.
The problem of My Health Record
Need for the health professionals:
My Health Record goal has enhanced the safety, quality, and efficiency of patient care. It
also works on reducing the miscommunication between health providers and patients during
the exchange of health information. So there is need to add more health professionals. They
are able to manage multiple health conditions, medication, hospital enter and multiple health
providers. My Health Record needs systems which secure and control the health information
of the patient.
Difficulty to understand the system:
People can’t use the health record system easily due to e-health illiteracy. It is internet
depended system so people are struggling to use it (Hemsley, Meredith and McCarthy, 2017).
Personal contact details:
Personal details of Health providers are not available in clinical information systems. The
user cannot contact Health providers when they update or remove their details from the
system.
The need of Child development section:
There need to develop the child section because percentile information cannot show in the
Growth Charts. Growth Charts contain inconsistent in the plot colour which is drawn
between the legend and the chart. Gridlines of the Growth Charts displays incorrectly during
three-month intervals. It is not smooth and overlaps chart which hard to read.
Provider Portal Usability:
Provider Portal creates a generic error message when system web page is not found or load
on the web browser. The system does not compatible with Microsoft Edge and Chrome. In
the Clinical Information Systems, ACT Health is not showing Discharge Summaries which
occur the issue with other Healthcare Organisations.
Reliability:
Reliability is a major issue in MY health record system. It needs a reliable system for the
health provider. A reliable system is needed for add number of health provider. It also needs
Reliable patients records which can be accessed by the health provider (Myhealthrecord,
2016).
