Current Process and Waste Analysis
The entire supply chain management process develops the systematic approach and the
structured process. This process is associated with some of the specific benchmarking, which
determines the future goals. The company requires set the following types of benchmarking
The development of the internal benchmarking compares the operational location of the
organisations or any specific part of this operation. TASK Myago Logistics needs to
identify their actual location for undertaking this supply chain process.
External benchmarking creates the comparison between the current operations of the
business with the operational process of the other organisation (Ptak and Schragenheim
2016). The company thus requires comparing their operational location with the other
companies to understand the effectiveness and underlying gaps. Accordingly, they can
develop the ideas about future betterments in the operational segments.
The non-competitive benchmarking is against the other organisations existing in the
external market and do not compete in the same market (Monczka et al. 2015). They are
not directly involve with the system, but can develop the process in a sequential way.
On the other hand, the competitive benchmarking develops the understanding regarding
the direct competition with the competitors in the similar market. While establishing the
distribution and supply chain process, TASK Myago Ltd. needs to focus on their
competitors in the market.
Performance benchmarking is another form in which the performance achievement level
is compared to the different operational process. Reviewing and monitoring the
performance parameter is essential if the company requires developing this benchmarking
process.
