Conflict Management- Myanmar Rohingya Crisis 2
Why Did the International Community Recognize the Crisis So Late?
Objective: To find out reasons behind Rohingya crisis in Myanmar. It will also explain
post actions of international organization in order to help Rohingya people.
The Myanmar Rohingya crisis was a bad incident in our history. I took this topic for my
research paper because these types of crisis are bad for social structures and welfare. It happened
due to lack of human rights to them, lack of information gap amid international organization and
national rules for management. It was a serious humanitarian consequence. There are many
things happened with the Rohingya people, which were not good at any point. People left their
native places and shifted in other countries because of that incident. They were forced to move
from their own country. They had limited access to basic services and transportation restrictions
for different services in their own country (Ahsan Ullah).
It was a serious issue in front of international communities for keeping peace and
development, such as UNICEF, and other communities. UNICEF provided many necessary
things for Rohingya people such as food, water, shelter, and protection to children and women.
The Rohingya people are refugees of Bangladesh, since the late 1970’s. They lived in Rakhine
state in Myanmar. It was a Muslim community, with some other community’s members, but
most of them are belong from Muslim community. The Myanmar Rohingya crisis emanated
from the army forces of Rakhine state. First time, it was started from a helicopter gun without
any prior information on the innocence persons (Parnini, Othman and Ghazali).
Mainly three counties are affected from that crisis include Bangladesh, Malaysia, and
Thailand. Other countries were also ready to help them, such as India, Sri Lanka and China.
Millions of refugees are shifted in those countries in a critical condition. It creates a difficult

situation for those countries, such as economic effects, security reasons, and political issues at
international level (S. Parnini).
Genocide is a word, which is used for huge number of deaths because of political issues.
It was more than a crime, which happened in Myanmar because innocent children were
murdered and countless women as well as men tortured for no reason.
It was a lesson for the entire world that such types of crisis not happened again. May be
some death was avoided, if outside countries was involved in their internal issue. China takes
some action against Myanmar, after that incident. Some internal issues are always with every
country but for resolving, them that type of activities are not suitable for a country. I will also
explain about the mistakes of Myanmar government and other international community’s late
action for that incident. I chose this topic for analyzing and representing the miserable
happening, and for finding the reasons behind late in actions towards them. Thus, by assessing
the threats and weaknesses of our system as well as the Rohingya case, we can avoid such type
of crisis and its bad effects in the future (Rahman).
