INTRODUCTION
The business is an organisational entity that is engaged in the industrial, commercial and
professional activities. It define the activities and efforts of an individual in order to produce and
sell of products and services with the motive of profit by which they can establish the good brand
image across the globe. It can be for a profit entity and non profit organisation. Business play an
important role in the society as it help to create new innovative and make essential technology
advancement. The company selected in this report is Nandos which is a South African
multinational company and deals in fast food chain. This report will include the size, scope of
respective company, interrelationship of functions, PESTLE analysis, SWOT matrix and influence
of the globalisation on an organisational strategy with decision making (Assadi, 2021).
TASK 1
The type, size and scope of Nandos
Nando's is the South Africa multinational fast food chain that is specialised in flame-
grilled peri-peri style chicken. This is founded in Johannesburg in 1987 and there are more then
1200 outlets across 30 countries. In 2010, Advertising Age magazine named it as the world's top
30 hottest making brands with the Tata Nano and Nature. The company is headquartered is in
London, UK. It is the type of private organisation which is solely managed by the single owner
and completely responsible for their profits and looses.
The main scope of Nandos is to offering the sustainability are their key priorities and
offering world best spicy Portugues-style chicken dishes. They also offer sauces, desserts,
beverages, meals and so on. They are working with the aim of generating higher profits so that
they can establish good brand image in the market (Cooley and Hansen, G2021)..
The interrelationship of functions on organisation structure
Organisational structure is defined as the way of operating their business by which all the
operating task can be done in an appropriate manner. This also helps in dividing the duties and
responsibilities so that all the work can be done in right manner. In context to Nando's, they are
operating their business in tall organisational structure so that that leader and manager also give
the accountability to staff with the aim of completing certain task in an appropriate manner. There

are various functional areas which are operating their business in consideration of Nando's and
these are explained as follows:
ď‚· Human Resource: It is the functional areas which is concern for hiring the potential
candidate who can perform their job role with the sue of integrated set of skills and
abilities so that they can contribute to the better results within the organisation. In context
to Nandos, HR manager also concern for having the better staff who is having good
knowledge of the spices and related recipes which also results in performing the job in an
well defined manner (Fancourt and et. al., 2021).
ď‚· Marketing: It is the business unit which is concern for promoting product and services of
the company so that they can attract the large group of audience in order to increase their
overall sale in the large market. In context to Nandos, they are emphasising on using the
social media marketing so that they can easily attract large group of potential customer
which can be loyal to their brand and leads to have higher profitability. This also helps the
company in covering different market segments so that they can be global market leader.
ď‚· Finance: It is the business function which is the backbone of every department as these are
responsible for procuring and allocating the funds required to run the whole operations so
that they can have the better approach in adopting the innovative and techniques which
results in higher productivity of their staff and the company. In context to Nandos,
appropriate financial resources help them to perform better and they can sue the right
source of financing such as bank loan which includes less interest rate which is also
leading to have the better results within the organisation and its functions (Fischer, Martin
and Straubhaar, 2021)
ď‚· Research and development: It is the department which is involve the market research so
that they they can get the innovative products so that they can rightly use the appropriate
results which is leading to have the innovative and unique products within the
organisation. In context to Nandos, they can hire the team for market research in order to
understand the integrated demand of the target market which gradually contribute to the
growth of the business.

understand the external factors which are impacting the overall functionality for the
business and also suggest some way by which they can improve their required areas in

economic integration. This is the ability which also communicate and move easily with all other
and run their business in internationally with the aim of generating higher profits.
Nando's is using the staff motivation as the leadership style, this also helps in
understanding the problem in order to resolve them so that they are having the better working

From the above report it is concluded that business is very essential as it help the society in
making new and technology. It has to create many strategy in order to operate its business
successfully. In a business, there are many operational function that is performed by every

find out the macro economic factors that impact a business son large scale. The other analysis is
SWOT matrix which help a company to determine its internal factors that make enable the
