Political Factors: This is considered to be one of the crucial factor which affected overall
operations of NHS. In present context, Brexit is said to be one of the crucial element which
created uncertainties in health and social care sector. Basically, when UK made its decision to
leave European Union, it has been found that there were a range of set that were required to be
built to have widespread consequences on society. In relation with NHS, uncertainties were
present in United Kingdom's environment like how medication along with different range of
medical equipment that were built in European Union will be brought in United Kingdom.
Another impact that came in front was the fear of getting terminated from NHS like foreign
workers belonging to countries like Paris, Germany (Part of European Union) loosing their jobs
because of developing a whole new constitution (Cooper, 2020).
Economic Factors: Economic downturn is said to be crucial key driver of change where
in the year of 2008 financial crisis that took place affected every single organisation in all over
the world. In terms of National Health Services, this public organisation was also going through
economic crisis, which resulted into negative impact on future plans and procedures to deliver
the best quality medical services to patients dealing with different health issues. Basically, NHS
become less able to recruit qualified medical staff members which raised questions on existing
health standardisation and policies as well.
Social factors: In present time, it has been found that education system and advent of
social media are considered to be the two crucial key drivers of change that are coming in social
factors and which impacted on NHS negatively. The reason that came in front was that patients
started carrying high expectations of getting appropriate knowledge in relation with what
alternative treatment options that are available for them of a particular health problem that they
are dealing with. However, this helped United Kingdom to see positive results in health
standards like reduction in mortality rate of the country and so on. This does create new
challenges for the NHS as they are expected to provide better care than ever before (PESTLE

Technological Factors: It has been found that technological factors are said to be some
of the crucial ones that changed the whole scenario of healthcare sector of United Kingdom. In
context with National Health Services, various tools along with pumps are taken into
consideration that are developed while considering Artificial Intelligence for better treatment.

Legal Factors: Patients that are not satisfied with service quality offered by NHS, are
going in courts to seek retribution and the reason that came in front was continuous growth in
litigation. In context with NHS, it has been found that growing number of healthcare-related
lawsuits, this organisation would require to do hefty expenses in order to meet the requirements
of patients and their family members (Thomson-So, 2020).
Environmental factors: In present time, it has been found that due to global warming and
because of other reasons a range of crisis situation that climate is facing. This raised ample
number of responsibilities for medical organizations like National Health Services. Basically,
NHS is responsible for meeting the expectations like reducing wastage and considering optimal
utilisation of resources at the time of delivering extreme care. Under this, NHS is looking
forward to develop an effective waste management system in order to reduce the number of
crisis situations that may take future to a critical situation due to climate changes.
