A National Emergency Preparedness Plan: Kuwait SDS and Community

This project presents a comprehensive national emergency preparedness plan designed for the Kuwaiti community to address the significant challenges posed by sand and dust storms (SDSs). The study begins with an in-depth examination of the background and rationale for the research, clearly articulating the problem statement and research questions. It then explores the multifaceted impacts of SDSs, including their effects on human health, the environment, and the economy. The project reviews global best practices for SDS management and preparedness models, providing a foundation for the proposed plan. The methodology includes quantitative and qualitative data analysis to evaluate the current state of emergency preparedness in Kuwait. The findings highlight the need for improved hazard knowledge, public awareness, and the development of effective response and recovery strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of SDSs, ensuring community resilience.
